The hotel has a charming tudor style and rooms are beautifully decorated. The windy corridors add to the charm. Only one problem - noise. We were staying in a room at the front of the hotel and some people had gathered there shouting - as the windows are not double glazed it was difficult to sleep. There was also music... more

I always try and check Trip Advisor before booking a hotel, it normally provides all the information I require, but for the Tudor House Hotel in Tewkesbury it didn’t help at all – the reviews were really polarised, ONE or FIVE stars. So which was true? I’m pleased to say my families experience was the latter – we loved it.... more

The hotel is in one of charming Tewkesbury's numerous historic buildings and its interior is a fascinating maze of short staircases and corridors. It has an excellent location on the small town's High Street, just paces from the main bus stop in the town centre (connecting to the railway station and to Cheltenham Spa), and within easy reach of the... more

Stayed for 4 nights, rooms not as expected , werent told showers were in our room, warm enough on an evening but very draughty and small for a double.Breakfast was ok but chef didnt know how to cook a fried egg so would avoid if possible, staff didnt seem to have a great deal of hospitality experience, wouldnt stay again. more

Alas despite the good reviews of late our experience was appalling. Turning up at the appointed time on the coldest night of the year thus far we were told the hotel had no trace of our two night booking made through a reputable on line booking agency some two weeks earlier. The woman manager could not have been less sympathetic.... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night, whilst on a trip to Tewkesbury. We had a room in the refurbished "Granary" - a separate building behind the hotel. The room was great - clean, comfy beds, newly fitted out en-suite and very quiet, as it was looking out over the river. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the... more

My partner and I stayed at this hotel last week and I have to say that I was very impressed. First of all, I phoned the hotel on the morning that we were due to arrive and explained that since we were going to a wedding, we would like to check in 2 hours early if possible. The manager said... more

This was our first stay at this hotel. We found the hotel and staff second to non. The food was first rate-- so good going back again at the beginning of next month! The hotel is still undergoing refurbishment, but found that didn’t detract from our stay. The rooms as comfortable, have the usual tea/coffee making facilities, TV, etc. rooms... more

The Ritz it's not, but it's a charming 16th century building situated in the centre of Tewkesbury near to the canal. The hotel is very well situated for touring the area. The hotel is in need of some refurbishment and this is currently in process. The oak panelling in the dining room and the breakfast room was beautiful. We had... more

We had our team conference at the Hotel and must have booked nearly every bedroom. The conference room was a wonderful wood-panelled room with an adjacent smaller room – perfect for our meeting. The hotel manager was very helpful, flexible and good-humoured about all out requirements. The bedrooms were (nearly) all spacious and warm, and we were unaffected by the... more
