I like good food, good wine, a nice atmosphere, welcoming staff, pleasant surroundings, comfortable rooms and not being made to feel like a 3rd class citizen because I travel with a well behaved little dog! The Stork ticks all the above for me and more. Its now a firm favourite.

Had lovely lunch, bit of a wait but had been warned they had large party in so no problems. We were put in child friendly area as had our small granddaughter with us. All went okay until 3 ladies arrived with two dogs. We all like dogs very much but not in dining room. The dogs were wet and shaking... More

Had high hopes arriving at the Stork Inn but left feeling let down by our stay. The b&b itself is very nice, clean and well presented. Unfortunately our problems started in our allocated room, where the cistern tank was constantly running causing an unacceptable noise issue. Despite best efforts to rectify - it wasn't to be and we were moved... More

Great food with lovely service. Fantastic secure playroom with activities and colouring for younger children. The food was great and at a reasonable price. Reserve a table if you can as it gets filled up quickly.

A country pub with friendly service, real ale, a great & in some cases unusual menu that tastes as good as it looks, with reasonable prices. There are a selection of walks that cater to everyone's abilities right on the doorstep. The only problem was that we didn't want to go home.

Ate here with my dad for lunch. The menu has the usual pub grub on it plus some interesting looking South African dishes. My dad and I can't resist a burger so we both went for that. The "small" burger is a half-pounder and the large is a whole pound of beef!! The food took quite a long time to... More

I used to know this area well but had not been to the Stork for many years - what a pleasant surprise! It remains a "proper" pub but now the food is superb and the service is friendly. Even better was that they welcomed our boxer dog and she lay in front of the real fire while we ate!

The Stork is situated in Conder Green, just south of Lancaster and close to Glasson Dock. It is right on the river so there are plenty of place to walk off the delious food served here. There is a South African influence to the food, giving it added interest. All well cooked and beautifully presented by pleasant staff. One thing... More

We have visited the Stork Inn on several occasions the most recent back in October, with family for a meal and previously with friends and also on our own. The rooms here are clean and comfortable, a warm welcome is provided on arrival and a menu providing a mix of traditional and South African influenced foods made using localy sourced... More

As a single traveller I found my double room at The Stork Inn more than adequate. Friendly staff, especially in the kitchen, I jokingly suggested that perhaps the chef would be interested in marrying me - I understand she's spoken for, her partner was a very lucky person! Very good food, the staff give a damn and it shows. Great... More
