stayed here 14 nov booked a family room number 9! first impressions were good until we opened our room door, the smell was uwfull! damp and musty, my son pulled out the sofa bed and got the extra duvet and pillow from the shelf, there was a single duvet shoved into a double cover with no way of keeping the... more

I got a taxi straight from the train station but becasue the internet booking slip doesn't say which travelodge in Doncaster it is (and there are two) my taxi driver had no idea where to go. The booking confirmation slip doesn't tell you the address of the hotel or even have a phone number on it! I should have looked... more

I stayed at this Travelodge under the a special deal price other wise, if I had paid full fare I would have been disappointed, even now I feel disappointed. Firstly, the reception area stank of alcohol, yet there was no bar. Secondly, the stairwell and corridors reeked of dampness. Thirdly, the room was in a poor state, tatty sofa, toilet... more

Another fine example of the simplicity and value of the Travelodge chain. Been to this hotel three times because it's always been good, cheap accomodation. Friendly staff, surprisingly quiet rooms for the location. Always clean and tidy. The views are not for the poetic or arty, though! The Little Chef on the same patch leaves something to be desired, but... more

I stayed at this travelodge for one night while on business in the area. Checked in just before 5pm, and was greated by freindly member of staff. Room was ready. I needed extra bedding which was delivered outside the room. Standard travelodge room, which was clean and comfortable, if basic. Only four channels on the TV. Next to A1, and... more

I've stopped at this Travelodge various times before (for the convenient location alone) and it's always been pretty clean and pleasant enough bearing in mind it's fairly cheap! So I've always been quite happy staying there in the past. This visit, however, we were in a terrible room, which had definitely seen better days with a large, very badly mended... more

We stayed at this hotel in Aug 08 - it was nothing special and basic, but that was what we expected so we were happy with it. It was clean and generally comfortable and it served its purpose. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable but for the price we paid we weren't about to complain. As we were leaving the hotel... more

We booked this travelodge as a stop over prior to our holiday in Northumberland. We used travelodge's website to book two £15 rooms for one night. Reception was rather impersonal however we think this was due to it being the night shift worker as we checked in at about 10:00pm. The main dissappintment was that we had booked two non-smoking... more

I thought I would review this place, as I was pleasantly suprised with the hotel, we booked a room for £15/night for one night. it's near the motorway & while it has a little road noise, the double glazing blocks it very well. it was extremely clean & the tea & coffee making facilities were very handy. there was also... more

I was lucky enough to get a room in their 'fiver frenzy' promotion last March, 2004. I got 18 nights accommodation for 90 pounds. Compared to motels in Australia, it was satisfactory, the only thing missing was a fridge, but at that price I couldn't complain. I would stay there again, but I wouldn't want to pay more than 30... more
