I stayed at the renaissance on business and it is clear the hotel is mid renovation from the display in the foyer and from the occasional sight of bits being lugged out of the front door. The room was clean and the bathroom was large. The fittings are very dated. I made the mistake of trying to open the bathroom... More

The location is perfect, right in the centre of Manchester, the service was excellent, really helpful staff. The hotel is beautiful, but is in need of a bit of a refurb, but certainly not to the extent that it is shabby

There was 21 of us who stayed here for my hen weekend and they gave us a floor to ourselves so we didn't need to be quiet. The service was excellent and started as soon as we arrived when staff asked to take our luggage for us. The hotel is in a brilliant location with shops and bars across the... More

Good location, with underground car parking - perhaps not best suited for late evening / night / after dark arrival for a single woman traveller. If you are arriving late, make use of the valet parking rather than do it for yourself. Also don't confuse the NCP next door with the private hotel car park - ring reception for access.... More

From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed here on 7th May while in Manchester to see Beyonce, we arrived at the hotel around 11.30 and was met by two lovely lads on reception who took a real interest in why we were in Manchester. Me my mum 2sisters... More

As I was travelling to Euston on the 7am service from Piccadilly I decided to stay overnight in Manchester rather than drive over early in the morning. I chose the Renaissance as it is centrally located for the train station, something to do in the evening and I am also a Marriott Rewards member so this is my preferred brand.... More

Just back from a lovely weekend break for show/shopping/chilling in Manchester and spent a beautiful restful night in this hotel. disappointed that we had to pay £16 for hotel parking after paying £100+ for the room with no breakfast but the room was lovely comfortable and lovely view. Couldn't,t have asked for a better situated hotel for all amenities and... More

I've stayed here many times over the years for business and pleasure. The hotel is in a great central location, has very professional staff and the bar/breakfast are nice with a good range of food and drink. You also have the choice of everything the rest of Manchester has to offer. Only two little downers (which I wouldn't let put... More

It's right in the heart of Manchester but very outdated room interior. Price surely doesn't justify as we paid a lot. Staff are very friendly but WiFi isn't free and TV only had 7 channels!!!!! Even my free view box gets more channels than this, totally unacceptable.

At the time of my visit the hotel is about to undergo a major renovation. This should help as the existing quality of the rooms are really showing their age. The bathrooms in particular are very poor standard for a hotel costing this much. On the plus side the carparking although expensive is ideal and the central location makes it... More
