The Hotel is just outside of the city centre, but that suited us, less traffic, easy parking - and only £2.50 and secure. The rooms are good for the price paid, which was less than we pay in the city centre! Breakfast was a nice variety. But most impressive were the staff from a nice check in ( I was... more

To be fair and start with the positives. The buffet breakfast was OK and offered a wide range of options, though the toaster was terribly slow. And there was free wifi in the rooms (also pretty slow, but easy to access). And it was pet-friendly. Apart from that I was miserable. The recption and most of the rooms are in... more

Booked the hotel as it's convevient to where my son is going to Uni and also only a short bus ride into Manchester. Very pleased with the room, the cleanliness and the staff. The breakfast was the best I've had for a long time. Would definitely recommend it and we will definitely be back. more

Spent four nights at the Willowbank while in Manchester for work, having booked online and paid up front. It is located a few miles outside of the city centre, but well served by regular buses that stop directly outside. Check in was efficient, and there was even a porter to carry my case to my room which I hadn't expected.... more

This is a medium sized hotel on the Wilmslow Road in Manchester. The location is very lively and there are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is made up of an older 1900s terrace house and a newer extension that was probably built in the 1950's or 1960's. If you are a paying guest you can park... more

Arrived at the hotel to a wonderful welcome from reception with a glass of fruit cocktail, escorted to our Room by a very helpful porter, the room was beautiful as we had been given a complimentery upgrade to a superior room. Bedroom was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The Bar had a lovely homely feel and was cosy with... more

Slightly worried after reading previous comments, but I guess most people only bother if they've had a poor experience. In contrast we found the staff great (not often you can say that in the uk) the Hotel had a lovely warm atmosphere, breakfast was fantastic, the room good, easy busses into the city where we had dinner at Moso Moso... more

This whole hotel is just slightly... strange, in my opinion. Arrival did not go well. The hotel is only identifiable by the "Best Western" sign from the outside. When we got inside, a huge sign welcomed us to the "Feathers hotel", so we thought we'd come to the wrong place, but the receptionist assured us this was the Willowbank. Checking... more
