We stayed in this hotel, when I booked I was not informed that the anexe is no longer part of the hotel. So we were put into the so called hotel above the bar. This was not en-suite which i had espically requsted. The room was disgusting and dirty. There was a single and double- however the double would only... more

wow, everyone seems to really hate the Rembrandt. we stayed there one night when we were going to a concert and even though it was a bit shabby everything about the hotel generally was fine. proces seemed reasonable to me, perhaps because i am used to the prices of bed and breakfasts in york. Management were very helpful when a... more

We stayed one night in the annexe which is a short walk from the actual Rembrandt. The GOOD points... LOCATION is fab as it is right in the middle of the gay vaillage (well it's good if u wanna be in the gay village!) STAFF are friendly. BREAKFAST is yummy. BED LINEN was clean. The BAD points... PRICE £50 for... more

Stayed in the Annex - Outside door needs oiling so slams loudly all night. Room door cannot be locked inside (yale lock only); room TINY, no TV remote & TV signal very poor; towels have seen better decade; smoke alarm wrapped up with masking tape; kettle has to be on floor in use. Had a "better room with en suite... more

I had the unfortunate pleasure at staying in this "HOTEL" which it is not. It is a gay bar with some spare rooms which it lets out. You check in at the bar which when I arrived had a few customers who watch every move you make which in turns make you feel uncomfortable. I was put into the annexe... more

Incredibly noisy hotel with bedrooms directly above the bar. Music blared until at least 1am and then a large group of extremely noisy people arrived at 5am. There was a single sink in the bedroom but I had to go down the corridor to find a toilet and shower (despite requesting an en-suite room). I stayed one night here and... more

Just a quick note, if you are NOT coming to Manchester for a few days in the gay village, looking for little more than a base for sleeping in YOU WILL NOT LIKE THIS HOTEL. The music is incessant, the food is not great, the staff are OK, but wouldn't go out of their way to help you. The rooms... more

This is a gay hotel in the gay district, frequented by gay men. Nothing in their literature (ie the website) indicates this is the case. Given that check in is in an actual gay bar (and indeed have to fill in the details of your address card at the bar, where it can be viewed by any random drinker) this... more

stayed in the annex! right on canal st so a thumbs up for that! chose a double room with ensuite £50p/n... no complaints, but then im not overly fussy! room was clean! fresh towels everyday! bit out dated but who cares! no problems with noise, security or dirt etc.. plan to stay again x more
