This place was pure and simple filth! On arrival there was no greeting, just a demand for the full amount in cash upfront. After travelling for 4 hours we didn't want to go back out searching for a cash point, so gave them half the bill in cash and were then haressed continuously for the remainder. The room was meant... more

We would travel across regularly to watch United and any nights we need to stay over we would always book into Monroe's. For budget travellers, this place is ideal, £18 pppn with a very good breakfast in the morning is value for money. The hotel is right next door to the train station which is very handy. You may have... more

If your looking for a place close to all the action of Canal Street, then look no further than Monroe's. On arrival we paid cash (just £20 each inc breakfast) and our party of 4 were given our own key to come and go as we pleased. Our 'Family Room 4' was at the very top of the building and... more

If you want a place to stay very near to Piccadilly Train station in Manchester, that would be Monroe's Hotel. It is a pub with upstairs accommodation- not fancy, no elevator but comfortable and safe. Your room may be equipped with a shower and a sink, with the toilet down the hall. Evening meals are available with advance notice, and... more

Me and my close friend needed to book a room for the evening in Manchester at the last minute and this hotel came highly recommended. We checked the website and was very excited and was hoping that we would get the room with the glass shower. We checked in and the staff were lovely and very friendly when we were... more

The most unfriendly and inpolite people working there. When phoning I get this common woman on the phone who is half deaf. it took me half an hour before she understood the date I wanted to stay. Then she left the phone for 15 minutes to find out if it was available, in the mean time I had to listen... more
