Stayed over night here last night for shopping and a concert at the MEN arena. The hotel is easy to find from Piccadilly station and is a short walk to the shops and the arena. A typical IBIS I'm sure, but I was shocked to find the public corridors smelling strongly of stale tobacco. Even after complaining on check-in at lunchtime, the smell was worse that evening. more

Smallish room, but not excessively, with pod bathroom including good sized, outward curving doore,. hot, powerful shower. Very central and v handy for Chinatown. Breakfast (6.70) is good and included bacon, scrambled,sausages (the website says just continental but the receptionist made a point of saying there were cooked items), coffee from a machine but surprisingly good (starbucks level). Chose this hotel based on price and have never had bad experience with Ibis. Ibis offer excellent value for money, our room was lovely, very modern with a big bed and roomy shower. Perfect hotel for a night out in Manchester city Centre! more
