My partner and I stayed at this hotel at the end of October so that we could attend a friend's party in Didsbury. Due to the choice of hotels in the area this was a 'make do' choice, I would not stay here again by choice! We stayed in room 303 which was up some stairs that resembled a fire... more

Arrived late at the hotel after having told reception of our late arrival, to find that our rooms had been given away to regular customers and we had been reallocated single rooms instead of the 2 twins we had requested. Eventually after much tutting on their part we were given some other rooms -still not what we had requested, but... more

Stay here for one night at the end of October. The hotel is clean and a good location for Didsbury. It was £45.00 for 1 night on Saturday night which is at least half the price of all the other hotels I looked at in Manchester area. The rooms are a litttle dated but they're clean and fit for purpose... more

Booked a one night stay to visit family, First room we were give was a single room... Second, was resonable, BUT on closer inspection there was rubbish still in the bins, the bed was not made... So third time lucky... we were directed to the basement where it did smell a tad, not a picturesque view at all being in the... more

After reading the reviews on this site about this hotel I have to admit I was worried about booking a short stay here when there were no other options. In the event, I was relatively pleased with the stay. First, the good points. Whilst we didn't have time to use it, the swimming pool, gym and leisure club looked excellent,... more

Stayed for 1 night after a Soul/Tamla Motown night.... The party night was ok...food could have been hotter and it tasted very bland... Portion size was very small, although they did offer seconds once everyone had been fed. The singer was good but not on long enough. DJ was satisfactory.... The room we stayed in was in great need of... more

I visited this hotel with a group of 22 friends to celebrate my hen night at one the hotels party nights. The function was well decorated and the food was better than expected. Unfortunately during the meal the table at which I was sat collapsed and was only stopped from hitting the floor because it lande heavily on my legs.... more

after reading some reviews on here i was anticipating an awful time but nothing could be farther from the truth. The room was spacious enough for three of us with ease. The leisure facilities were amazing and well worth the stay. The staff were friendly and any problems were sorted out within minutes. The breafast was well worth what we... more

We'd booked the room online for an amazing 30 pounds, and wanted a nice hotel near to the airport. From the map on the website, it looks as though it is far from the train station but in fact it is very close, maybe 5 minutes on foot. The staff were very very polite and helpful, the room was cosy... more

I booked four twin rooms at the Galleon for my friends hen do. The hotel website looked lovely but when I arrived I could have cried. Our room was shocking. I can only describe the room as similar to a DSS hostel. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet had not been cleaned from the previous occupant who had left it... more
