I have stayed in budget hotels many times so I understand that it is foolish to expect too much however this hotel genuinely shocked me. It was dirty, damp and smelled and that was before I got into the room! The TV didn't work, there was no curtains..just a screen that didn't close properly, the fan was in the actual... more

the rooms are filthy, the tv's don't work properly, i couldn't even watch bbc, my window had no latches so i was unable to close it and the beds are the worst i have ever tried to sleep on in my life.in general it makes faulty towers look like the hilton. more

This is the 2nd time that I have stayed here and, although the hotel has its issues, you get what you pay for. Compared to other places I have stayed in Manchester, it is reasonable value. Parking included in the room price (and given that it costs upwards of £8/day for parking elsewhere, this makes it a bargain as far... more

The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast lady, who's very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fine too, kind of what you expect from a cheaper hotel. My room was small, stuffy, didn't have a proper curtain, and certain things were about to fall apart. The shower was terrible. It was more like a disfunctional tap, giving... more

The hotel is in a right mess, The walls were dirty, the shower was small and had mould. The beds were very old and the blankets smelled really bad. The windows in the rooms did not open. The TV in the room was as old as the hotel. If i were you i would not stay at this hotel. Seriously... more

Just returned from a 2 day stay at the hotel, and i must say it was quite nice. Spoke to staff at the place and was told that the hotel is going through a complete refurb. The room we got had just been done up, and we couldn't fault it. Everything was spot on and the breakfast was wonderful too.... more

Good location, no parking (or pay 7 euro a night). Annoyingly expensive breakfast, the restaurant seemed virtually empty some mornings, bring the price down and people may eat in the morning! the Richmond just down the road is better value for money, but was booked up. Having said that no complaints about the overall standards. more

we booked this hotel thinking it was good value, when we arrived we were so disappointed it was smelly we noticed that when we stepped in the door, the room was small even though it was a double, the window overlooked a washing line and untidy yard, then there was the bathroom we just felt like going home when we... more

Value for money wise this hotel isn't bad. However, you shouldn't mind empty bars, ambulance sound, holes in your blankets, lots of dust and rats in the parking lot. more

The hotel was very run down. But the staff were really nice. There was mould on the walls, and the decore was still in the 80's. They had blankets not duvets. The breakfast was great but they didn't have bacon on their cooked breakfast. Our t.v was black&white and it didn't even work. more
