Our stay at the Hatters was quite a comfortable one, very clean and cozy..apart from the bathrooms as they do tend to be cold..but hey, what do you expect from a victorian style building in the UK?? The staff are friendly & it is not a noisy place. Internet access available at a reasonable price & the kitchen facilities are... more

This centrally located hostel is a good deal! Besides the room rates being rock bottom, extra money and commuting time are saved with the location being so close to the downtown. Every guest receives personalized attention from cheerful staffers. Their eagerness to give useful touring tips helps travelers (especially if alone) feel welcomed. I paid a little extra so I... more

Stayed here for my first night in a hostel. Was surprised that the lift was broken and had to go up 5 flights of stairs to get to my room. Room was a dorm with 6 or 8 beds (forget now). Was rather noisy but it was still a nice place. Best part was the location. A short walk to... more

I stayed at Hatters for one night on July 12th while on a quick visit to Manchester. Travellers will appreciate that this hostel is a 10-minute walk from the Manchester-Picadilly train station. I stayed in a single room (306) and found it to be small but totally comfortable with good furniture. Be aware that there was lots of stray light... more

I stayed at Hatters for one night. The location is perfect, within walking distance of most city centre attractions and very close to public transport. The building is very old and the original features and layout are still there, including Victorian toilets and sinks in the womens bathrooms. They are cute and the history of the place gives it some... more

Stayed here for just one night before catching a flight and it was much nicer than expected. It is only a 5 minute walk from the main Train Station so very convenient for catching an early flight out the next morning. It is also in a nice location for exploring the city. As well the staff were very friendly and... more

This was my first time staying at a hostel. I think it is a good place to stay for the night. Just don't stay there if you noise keeps you awake. People were making noise at all times of the night. My single room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room included a table and lamp, bed, chair, and... more
