Colmar deserves to be much better known; it's a gorgeous Alsatian town full of traditional timber framed houses clustered around a series of canals. This is really a great place to explore the city and the region. Good rooms, nice breakfast and fantastic location right in the heart of Colmar. You can walk to all the places you need and there´s no problem parking because there are always places in front of the hotel. We liked very much our stay in the Colombier. more

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel le Colombier July 17-19 2009. We visited Colmar in order to watch the beginning of Stage 14 of the Tour de France and to explore the Alsace wine region.
