Excellent location, close to the attractive and interesting Park of the Orangerie, with easy access to the city of Strasbourg by foot or by tram. Spacious, apartment style rooms with very good facilities. Secure underground garage parking, although at an extra charge. The breakfast area is a little small for the number of guests staying at the hotel. more

The room was tatty and not that clean. Could do with a good vacuum especially in the corners. The smell of smoke was SO strong. All the chairs were dirty. The wallpaper in the rooms is peeling off and torn in places. Furniture badly scratched. Voile curtains dark gray from the smoke. Room service - just not acceptable. Breakfast was... more

We requested a smoke free room, the sign on the front door said smoke free but as soon as we walked in we could smell the smoke. Smoke permeated the bedding and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. this is a suite and it was very spacious. more

This hotel was located about 25minutes walk into town, which in winter got a little cold and tedious if staying for longer than 2 days... However was close to EU buildings and a nice park with a small free zoo! Hotel could not be faulted, breakfast was excellent. Mostly business travellers seemed to be staying there. Free broadband was offered... more

I spent a few days in Residence Jean-Sebastien Bach when I was in Strasbourg on business. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood, although it was not in the center of town. It is close to the European institutions and right next to the Orangerie park. It was very nice to walk around the park after a day's work and... more

We stayed at this residence for the Easter break with our daugther. We booked through the internet (hrs.de) and got a very competitive rate. When we checked-in, we were upgraded to an apartment with a living-room and a separate bedroom. Toilet and bathroom were also separate. The residence is near the Council of Europe in a very nice residential area... more

This hotel is obviously used by visitors to the European Institutions in Strasbourg, though we stayed there over Christmas. It's a bit out of the way for the tourist sites, about 30 minutes walk to the Cathedral, but located in a quiet, diplomatic quarter, next to the Orangerie (ideal for walks and jogging). Rooms are reasonably sized studios, with a... more

We had travelled from Calais the day of our arrival, with an screaming 8 month old and to find the oasis that was Residence Jean-Sebastien was wonderful. For a start, there was on site parking. Secondly, we had a suite so our son would be able to sleep in his own room, so to speak and thirdly; room service choices... more

My husband and I stayed at Le Jean Sebastien Bach Hotel May 24-26, 2005. Our European friends researched and booked this hotel. I am glad they did! Although it was quite a hike to downtown Strasbourg, the room and terrace made up for the long walk and rail ride. Our friends booked the large apartements, the second highest class of... more
