This hotel was pretty good, and in fact excellent for the price. The room was a good size for french hotels, with large bathroom and the breakfast great. Decor possibly a bit tired but very clean with good maid service. Unsure of reason for criticism of location by other reviewers. It is on the fringe of Bordeaux's centre and, while... more

Typical impersonal city centre hotel just away from tourist spots and shops but close to a tram stop.Rooms are clean and a fair size and breakfast the usual buffet style. The front of house staff were some of the most disinterested people I have ever come across.Customer service is not in their vocabulary. more

Booked this hotel as part of a travel package for the Medoc Marathon. Location was a few blocks removed from the old town in a commercial district. Not the prettiest area but a short walk to the old town and near a supermarket. Rooms were very small but redone and nice common spaces. more

Staff were unfriendly, arrogant and unhelpful. Appliances were dangerous, bedding had stains, room was not made up each day. After complaining, no management were available to hear the complaint and the receptionist did not have the authority to refund, let alone make an apology. This hotel is overpriced given the level of service received. I’d have rather stayed in a... more

We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. From the dated Hollywood theme decor (which is not befitting of the location of the hotel) to the hair on the floor of the bathroom to the stains on the bedcovers. Other problems included unfriendly staff, old and shabby furniture as well as a bedside lamp that did not work. We... more

we stayed here for 2 nights as a rest stop and to see Bordeaux during our camping trip to France. We stayed in the Loire Valley for a week, and decided on staying in Bordeaux for a while before moving on to a site in the Dordogne. It worked beautifully. We were a bit nervous driving into Bordeaux during rush... more

The hotel has reasonably priced clean rooms in a business district. The staff is the only problem with this hotel. We asked "C" where we could rent a car. She replied, "I don't know" (there is a phone across the lobby that is directly connected to the local rental car company). We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant. Again,... more

Spent just one night at this hotel. This Mercure had no private parking, so we parked our car into the public garage located next to the hotel (€13 for approx 12 hrs). We're given a no-smoking room next to the elevator. Room was nice, clean and spacious, but kind of noisy during the evening/night because of the people talking while... more

This was an OK hotel. The room was fair. It was clean as was the bathroom. The hotel is situated near the Meriadeck Shopping Mall, which is accessible by the Metro lines. Its area is like a financial district - a bit dreary. There are no good places to eat around the hotel. This is a big downside. The hotel's... more
