In short: Perfect location in the city centre of Bordeaux, comfortable and clean room, great host, will go back to the L'annexe de Gérald any time we have a chance! The details: Almost everything is within walking distance or just a few tram stops from the L'annexe. For example: The Place de la Bourse with its Miroir D'Eau, or the... More

We stayed at L'Annexe August 6&7 - this was the first time we tried a B&B so we were not sure what to expect. Everything was fantastic from the fresh fruit, croissants, jams, and french pressed coffee both mornings, to the location. The location was fantastic as it was about a 5-10 minute walk to the Tourist Office near the... More

We stayed one night at L'Annexe in Bordeaux, and had a fantastic time. Our room was stylishly appointed, with tasteful modern furnishings complementing the historic details of the space. Gerald is a charming, generous, and attentive host -- he helped us on arrival with finding parking just out front, offered excellent suggestions for places to eat, and prepared a delicious... More

We had two days only for enjoying Bordeaux and the Annexe was an excellent choice. The B&B is located in the heart of the old town. It is very easy to get in from the railway station (you can take either bus 16 or tram C). We arrived a bit later than expected, but no problem for our extremely kind... More

We stayed here with our baby for 3 nights. We stayed in the room which is underneath the other rooms, which was thoughtful as it meant we did not have to worry about disturbing other guests. The breakfast was very traditionally French with different pastries and fruit each day, along with coffee and juice. The only down side was the... More

We booked with Gerald for 4th June. This was confirmed by email. Our plane was two hours late. We travelled direct to L'Annexe but no one was there. We telephoned twice and left two messages on his answerphone. We then trailed around three hotels on foot wth our luggage until we found somewhere to stay. The hotel room was very... More

Now I have to answer to the accusation because it is really easy to put bad appreciation and I will explain: When people you reserved a room and they tell you they arrive at 19:20 and you stay until 9:30 p.m. to wait without any explanation, not a call, not an email and I think that in our time, there... We had booked a room with Gerald in November 2011 for our stay in June 2012 and we thought everything was locked in via email. Two days before arriving we decided to confirm that it was alright to check in late (at 10pm) as our flight was changed to a later one. We were only able to check email a... More

Gerald has an amazing apartment in the heart of Bordeaux that he has turned into a charming B&B. The location is excellent! It is very easy to find and a very short walk from the convinient tramline. Like many cities in France, Bordeaux has a large shopping neighborhood that is pedestrian only, and the B&B is on the outer limits... More

My husband and I and our 23-year-old son stayed in the suite for just one night in April 2012. After a bit of a frustrating time to find the apartment (our fault for missing the streets), we arrived and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of space we had. The apartment has been tastefully decorated in a modern style, in... More

Stay here! This was our first B&B experience and the accommodations as well as our host have sold us! We will avoid hotels from now on. The rooms were lovely (his wife is a very talented decorator), spotless and had a contemporary antique flair (but no washcloths. Towels yes, wash cloths, no.) Breakfast was great, abundant and included jams made... More
