Sometimes cheapest is not best! Despite this being in a good location for the Gare St Jean, the hotel is in serious need of being cleaned and updated. We stayed on a particularly balmy day/night and this hotel has no air con, luckily the window in the room opened allowing some breeze but also a lot of noise (drunken revellers,... more

Yes you get what you pay for. Room small with the odd on-suite arrangements. Curtain rail hanging off and no plugs except the TV which wouldn't fit the adaptor. But room clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast good value-now at 7 euros. Staff really helpful and 24 hour service. Saw no red lights nearby except in the centre and the... more

OK so we knew it was cheap, but the place does not have to be dirty, all those stains on the carpet gave me the shivers. We expected the place to be charmless, the hotel had really small rooms, was in a dubious location but surely they could keep it clean. And to end our 1 NIGHT we even got... more

rdlight district. Hotel has original decor and hotel is about 25 years old. The room was cvery clean and small. Posted rate was 55 euros for a single room. A person had to walk from garage entry to go in from front door. A wheel chair lift was not working. I felt safe when hre, but I am single. I... more

I was pretty horrified when I arrived at Hotel Stars, our room smelt of sweat and vomit, and the hotel is in the middle of the red light district. However, we were only staying one night, and the hotel is very handy for the train station & tram (250m to the former, and about 20m to the latter), so it... more

The hotel itself is good value. We paid £99 a room for 3 nights. We had read the reviews so did not expect much. The rooms are very small and sparse. Oddly decorated in dark blue as it's surposed to be nautical... but does not work... just looks as if someone has tried to create a theme on a very... more

£60 for two people for two nights? Can't complain at the value. Booked with the intention that it was cheap enough to check out and go elsewhere if it was a hovel, but we stayed both nights. Had we been staying longer, we would have gone elsewhere. The hotel is located a few steps away from the Tauzia Tram stop... more

I stayed in this Hotel during the 2006 summer hotness in France, so my review maybe is not valid for a person who visits Bordeaux in winter. I said this becaus the Hotel has no air conditioning and that was a real problem because the room could be at 40º degrees. The rooms are really tiny (maybe your cupboard is... more

There are many conflicting reports about this hotel, depending upon which website you consult. For example, some sites list room amenities as including hair dryers, clock alarms, etc. Let me clear up these conflicting reports based on my stay there with my wife in May, 2005. As is common in France, the rooms are very small and amenities include a... more
