no jardin but otherwise does what it says on the tin. trouble is its in the wrong area, bordeaux is an upmarket smart romantic city, this location forces you to appreciate that there is a bit more to it. if you have an attractive girlfriend this is the wrong area. otherwise its probably spot on. more
Stayed here on 11/6 and 12/6/08. Reasonably straightforward to find from airport take J18 off Rocade ring road - Tip Print off satelite photograph of J18 & subsequent access through two roundabouts and left turn at Shell station. Then its straight all the way to hotel which is on the left hand side of the street Cours de la Somme.... more
In a really great location, only 5 mins walk from Place de la Victoire, rooms are basic but kitchen unit is handy if you want to cook something. Friendly staff. Room had lovely comfy bed, nice plasma TV and some lovely pieces of furniture - side tables and chest of drawers. On the down side: - had to settle bill... more
The rooms at the victoria garden are spacious and nicely furnished, and obviously designed with the business traveller in mind. The hotel is five minutes walk from the Place de la Victoire, which is lively with lots of bars. The hotel is a few hundred metres south of place de la victoire in a slightly run down (or up and coming) part of town. Great cheap apartments that allow you to get on with your holiday in Bordeaux. Located near Place de la VIctoire, student night-life. If it is more a cultural trip you are looking for look at places around the Opera house. Quality Inn for example. Used to live in Bordeaux so any questions just mail!Kate more
