We booked our stay @ the Regent solely because it was listed in Traveler Magazine's "Hot" list. and was really the only legitimate "luxury" hotel option in Bordeaux, and is a very special place, indeed. You simply cannot beat the location: smack-dab in the center of the city, across the square from the Grand Theatre. We booked ourselves into a... more

Our 3 night stay at the Regent was lovely. The entire staff was very friendly and extremely accomodating. There were many restaurants just a block or so away from the hotel. The concierge will be happy to recommend a favorite according to your personal tastes and budget. However, the rooms were dark even with all the lights turned on. The... more

My wife and I spent at a corner deluxe room situated in front of the Grand theatre of this gorgeous & cleanly hotel for seven nights from check in on the day of 26th June to checking out on 4th July . We took a promotion rate, when making reservation, which can be obtained about 38% less from the list... more

This is a really good hotel ideally located opposite the Grand Theatre. It is, however, extremely expensive! Rooms and public areas are all very well appointed, and the food in the Brasserie is very good, and compared to the rest of the hotel prices pretty reasonable. Breakfast is over priced at Eu30 per person and fairly average. What really makes... more

The Regent is "The Plaza" of Bordeaux, the most central and luxe hotel in town. The rooms can be small, and the bathroom situation is a tad odd: the toilet is two doors removed from the sinks and tub/shower. Also, our room service was uneven: inedible salt-laden soup and so-so pasta. The public spaces are an unfortunate mix of classical... more

My husband and I took a train from Paris to Bordeaux and thought that the hotel looked beautiful when we arrived. The location is amazing. Right on the main square across from the Grand Theater and at the heart of the of the beautiful historic district - great for walking . We were given a room on the fourth floor... more

I have been in this hotel for a few days in July 2009. Booked thorugh a website a superior room (basic). When arrived i saw the room that was exceptionally small and with no light from outside, and asked to upgrade to a deluxe room. This one was just slightly bigger, and totally without light from the outside, even if... more

Seems poorly managed. Great location but difficult to enjoy it at such an annoying hotel. Lost my laundry prior to an important dinner. Seem to have a lot of rules none of which contribute to their guests well being. more

We stayed at this beautful hotel for a big birthday celebartion in December with a group of friends. The staff were just amazing. Remi the concierge and his team fixed up all the restaurants before we arrived everyone of his recommendations were excellent. The hotel is bang in the centre of this lovely city, so sight seeing could not be... more
