A pleasant visit to the 1980's with friendly staff and a good location. The hotel has a sense of faded glory, with a makeover long overdue. But our room was clean and in fact the bathroom modern. Staff spoke excellent English - were friendly and welcoming. The only negative was the sound proofing. We could clearly hear other guests (who... more

booked this short break after a hectic 2 weeks in tenerife with the kids and my folks, decided that we needed abit of time on our own. the flights to bergerac were very cheap and seeing as we were on a budget, we needed a cheap hotel. this hotel was lovely! nice and clean, very helpful staff, nothing was too... more

I was a bit worried after having read one or two of these reviews, but need not have been. We found the hotel to be exactly as it is on its website. Our room was fairly small, but clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was great. The staff on reception were helpful (would... more

Our rear facing room had original windows and shutters, but was also airconditioned which we needed during a beautifully warm October night. Staff were very friendly and helpful - no language problems as they were very accommodating of my poor French! Secure private parking in town was a bonus as we stayed over on a Friday night (Saturday was market... more

This was the last place we stayed in during our trip to find our wedding venue. This particular day, we were elated as we had found the spot we were to get married! Therefore, we were in great sprits when we arrived, but we were soon brought flailing helplessly back to Earth. As it was the end of trip and... more

I had an enjoyable stay here last Summer, although 5 days is perhaps too long here, especially without your own transport. The hotel is in a fine central location, just a couple of minutes walk to the old town. My room was quite small and old fashioned, very basic. However, the best thing about this hotel was its lovely garden... more

For a short stay in Bergerac, this hotel offers a good location close to the cultural centre and good value at 69 euro's for a double room and breakfast. It is fairly dated decor and furniture but clean and the reception service was good. Bergerac itself is only very small and there isn't loads to do in the immediate area... more

One of the travel guides (Rough Guide) lists or once listed this as one of the best hotels in Bergerac. If that is true then I would worry about the others. This hotel was an ok base for one night - the location is good - but the room was tired, a bit smelly, had a soft mattress and no... more

Let's face it, the Hotel de Bordeaux isn't the hotel to which all hotels should aspire to, but it's in a great location in the heart of Bergerac and a short stroll to the old part of town - and it has parking (not free), and is great value for money. The hotel offers an outdoor pool as well as... more

As it's over three years since we stayed, this is simply to observe that the location is good. Close to the old town but good if you have a car and are not trying to drive in the congested parts of the old town - and also close to the railway station. more
