Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The arrival at the park and manoir was very promising. Unfortunately the first impression changed quickly. The manoir from the outside is beautiful, but the inside is completely ragged. The hotel hasn‘t been properly maintained for many years. We booked a deluxe room for a special weekend, it was confirmed with picture and tough pricing (€176,00 for 1 night). On arrival we were given a completely different room, with different much lower quality furniture, with different equipment - and on top of it, the room and the bathroom were disguistingly dirty. Not cleaned, hairs in the bath, drawer and towels; no toilet paper. Internet did not work in the room, nor half of the lighting. We have documented everything with pictures. We have been at the reception twice, nothing could apparently be done as the poor girl at reception was on her own and also had to serve in the restaurant in parallel. The charme of the testaurant was worse than any „routier“, the food quality was not impressive for the price charged and the lighting switched on and off all the time. Another couple hade the same issues as we and apparently the young manager (son of the owners) that also seemed to be the cook and ran upstairs. For us, the manager was not reachable. The next morning we skipped breakfast, as we only wanted to leave. We discussed with the receptionist how to solve the issue and that we were not willing to pay the price for a room and service that was not supplied by the hotel. Two young girls listened in. The receptionist was not able to take any decisions and the young manager was again not reachable. We agreed on that we would receive a proposal to compensate for the poor services from the hotel. From there on it got even worse; the young and incapable manager did not bother to excuse nor find a solution. He lied when saying in the final phone conversation that he would already have tried to call us several times (maybe he did not use the right country code). We have never ever been treated in such a way during our more than 30 years (business) travelling. François Sergeant is the worst hospitality manager you could possibly meet in a hotel. Hospitality and pleasing his guests is an unknown attitude to him. We can provide the written correspondance if you like to read it. What a shame for this beautiful place and for all guests to follow. The 4* rating is absolutely not just; in this state it should not be more than 2* and we will also report this to The Originals Hotels. What a disappointment in every respect. Don‘t be tempted by the misleading pictures on the website and per emails. Look at the recent reviews at Tripadvisor to not suffer from a similar experience.

First the good.. the staff were helpful. Really kind, young, vibrant people. So that was good. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The not good... the hotel is lacking care and attention. The Wi-Fi was impossible to connect to although the receptionist did try and she couldn't manage it. The rooms whilst big were dusty and unkempt. The toilet was behind a curtain, no privacy. The decor was tired, the shower was dirty at the base. The couch in the room was stained. Unfortunately we had people below us who were up all night having a party and smoking. Not the fault of the hotel but the name of the hotel implies silence. The pool area was shabby. Even the plants were not watered. The garden was.. free growing. This is a hotel for young people, it's run in a way that can be described as free spirited. It's like a very upmarket hostel. We decided that after one night we had to leave as we'd had very little sleep and didn't fancy the behind the gauze toilet experience. To be completely fair to the hotel we made a very serious complaint and they refunded one of our two night stays. I cannot recommend this hotel if you're expecting the usual 4 star experience. Others might love it, we did not.

Lack of ceiling in the bathroom and toilet and therefore no separation from the bedroom is an obvious problem. The situation is frequent in schools and in army camps, but not in hotels. And, if so, I think customers should be made aware in advance

First a positive..The staff were professional and lovely. But! Electrical problem with table lamp.   Creaky, uncomfortable bed. Came back to bedroom after using spa to find a mouse in the room. (Thought we had heard it in the night and it had nibbled the sugar on the tea tray). Staff did immediately move us to new room.  Spa pool on 2nd day was too cold for me to get into ! So just used sauna. This place Could be very good but unfortunately isn't. Was a 60th birthday treat so was disappointing for the cost.   Only praise really is of the staff who were very nice. Would we go back.  NO !

We had wanted a hotel away from the center of Quimper, with easy parking. We had driven from Paris, so easy access was important. Hotel was fabulous country house so setting was elegant. Our room was just fine, and breakfast was great. It is an easy drive to the town center, about 5 km, and there were plentiful parking lots. Don't miss the museum of Breton history next to cathedral.

Rooms are full of character, our bedroom (the bourbon) was lovely, clean, comfy and fully equipped. Plenty of places to site inside and out or a leisurely walk. We were there for a wedding reception so cannot comment in food the restaurant. Food for the wedding was amazing and the service impeccable. Friendly staff and helpful. In terms of price, there was a discount for wedding guest so cannot déterminé if value for money. What we paid (€110 per night) and was worth it.

Not a simple hotel but a fantastical and peaceful place. A perfect place to rest after a day visiting the area. The rooms are fully equipped with almost a traveler can need. Fine decoration in big rooms. Breakfast so good. Staff so friendly. Very recommendable.

Average. Needs some improvements to eating areas inside and out. Noise tends to travel around the hotel. Breakfast could be improved. Grounds are very nice and spacious. As others have said this is nice / fine but overpriced right now. It has great potential. Did not visit the spa.
