Tired, shabby rooms. Noisy bar on ground floor and people in the street throughout the night. No air conditioning despite being advertised on website. Breakfast overpriced and little choice with one member of staff slowly refilling some of the cheaper items but containers for cooked items remained empty.

Stayed here for one night in August and thankfully for one night only. It's only saving grace was its location. The room was featureless and dull, with poor quality furniture and a lingering cigarette smoke smell. We chose a standard room which turned out to be absolutely miniscule and very hot despite the fact that it was December. We have stayed in Mercures previously and do not rate this one as being anywhere near the normal standard and vastely overpriced.

Excellent stay - the hotel provided reasonably priced, good quality accommodation, with very comfortable bed and efficient shower. I did not take breakfast, which may have been good value but seemed very expensive at €14. We went to the bar on the corner for good expresso and croissant.

The hotel is in a central location, 5 minutes from the beautiful old part of the city and close to buses and the metro.
