For me this hotel was perfect. Not particularly expensive so I didn't expect 5 star facilities but the room was clean and comfortable. Just the right distance to walk off that wonderful dinner in the old town. Well appointed hotel, just like 'The Tardis', much bigger on the inside than looks from the front. Bright, clean and friendly with plentiful choices for breakfast. Second visit now and would certainly revisit and recommend. more

We chose this hotel because of the view - it's absolutely gorgeous. At high tide the waves crash up against the promenade at the back of the hotel. We stayed in room 306, it overlooked the beach but was tiny. I had asked for a really good room because it was a special occassion but was bitterly dissapointed. The room was tiny, the floors were plain cheap wood and the bathroom was all wood, there was no bath. There were no drawers and cups, spoons etc were plastic.... more

This is a great place for families. My husband, 3 children and I had Room 103, which is an ocean view, 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit. The first night we woke up in a first floor room - all around us were bed bugs. As we have have been told by the managment, they had these bed bug problems already last year, when they had to "clean up" the 4th floor. Of course we left ! Saint Malo hotels seem to be busy at the weekends, and many are difficult to book online or via email if your French isn't so hot.
