close to the center of Avallon (picturesque town with surrounding walls and nice old houses), this hotel has quiet rooms overloooking a beautiful garden. Those in the front may be noisier because of the main road. Friendly and warm welcome. great breakfast !

The hotel was adequate for a short, overnight stay but was uninspiring in decor and facilities. Room was clean and comfortable. A general absence of service.

Lovely building - with rooms suitable for families with 2 kids :-) Secure car park and easy walk to local restaurants - we always use the Pizza de la Tour!

I enjoyed a stay at the Hotel D’Avallon Vauban from March 27th to March 30th, 2008. The hotel worked as a great base for exploring Avallon and the surrounding countryside.
