After many emails and a phone call, we booked a room in this hotel. Their website promised a room for two plus breakfast for two plus two tickets to the Chateau of Azay-le-Rideau. Family room no.23 was dingy and small. It was clean but don't expect any frills. Parking was easy at the back of the hotel but the compound was locked when it should have been open and cost was excessive at Euro 6 per night. Frankly not sure how it got 3 stars, have stayed at better two stars. more
Of the 5 hotels we stayed in out of our 9 days in France this by far the poorest. Our room was small and bathroom even tinier. We stayed here as we had already stayed at Des Chateaux. This was alot better, closer to town and all that Azay has to offer. more
We stayed one night and were very pleased with the choice (TripAdvisor recommendation). Close to the town centre, it has off street parking and easy to find. Our room was light and clean and the bed more comfortable than some in France! The excellent shower was very welcome and breakfast more than adequate. The restaurant was not open the night... more
Stayed here as part of a 10 day road trip through France. Azay le Rideau is a perfect location for visiting the Loire Chateaux and even in May was quite busy. Avoid this hotel in spring (and also in fall and winter). My room in the main building was very cold and clammy. The furniture is dated. Bad smell in the stairway as well as in the room.
