A little bit of false advertising to call it the Mercure Cathedrale. Conquers up the image of a hotel in the shadow of the cathedral. Reims is a relatively small city and it is not far but still this hotel is at the side of the motorway. Rather functional. Good for a stop-over. Underground hotel parking was the best part.... more

Although close to cathedral, the parking is expensive (10 Euro), the rooms very hot and you can't open the windows for the noise outside. Typical Mercure - they charge a fortune for wi-fi despite sending a confirmation saying access for wi-fi is available - it is at 10Euro a pop!! Breakfast also very expensive. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself. Staff were really pleasant - especially the restaurant staff.
