For anybody who is looking for a hotel in the centre of Reims (France). The Ibis is relatively cheap, but if offers a clean room, with a bed, shower and flat screen tv. The hotel has a/c, but windows can be opened. The hotel is situated directly next to the Reims train station (TGV), but there is hardly any noise.... more

We only stayed two nights. So, it was rather nice to stay almost at the rail station. Door to door about twenty-five feet. It's a typicial middle of the road hotel/motel. A bed and breakfast would be more in line for Reims. It does have a large car park across the road. It is a short walk to many restraunts.... more

Seemed like a good bet, knowing other IBIS hotels but small cramped rooms and paper thin walls. If you like to hear everyone elses alarm calls, hear them go to the loo, sneeze and what they are watching on tv, then this is the hotel for you. The Ibis in Reims centre met our expectations. It is like other Ibis hotels, so once you've been in one, you know what to expect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and basic and location pretty good. It is an okay stay for a couple of nights when exploring the Champagne region. more

On our way down to the south of France we stopped over in Reims for the night. Having found it difficult to find a decent hotel in Reims on the internet, we plumped for something basic but well located. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Used this hotel for a second time to break up a trip from the alps. Easy to find next to the main railway station and good cheap parking next to the hotel. Straight forward access back to the motorway. Usual Ibis standard with a pleasant bar in the reception area. Plenty of good bars/restaurants within 5 min walk. more

I've stayed at other Ibis hotels, and I find this chain generally a decent (although not great) value. I cannot recommend this particular hotel, however. It's undergoing renovations, and you only get informed about it when you head to your room. Some very noisy work is done at night (!) just outside the hotel. The two guys at the reception... more
