The hotel is in a lovely building in the centre of Troyes. Our room was a great size for 4 of us and was lovely and quiet and comfortable. The hotel itself is a bit scruffy but the staff were very helpful and the location was great for the price. more

Les Comtes de Champagne is a place full of character, situated as it is near the medieval old town of Troyes. The staff were friendly and very helpful. This is a lovely hotel! Inexpensive and a nice getaway. Chose this hotel after reading the Lonely Planet review, and it was fabulous. The medieval building is beautiful, the staff are all friendly and helpful, and it's right in the middle of the old town and a short walk from the rail station. Stayed here on my birthday en route to the south and was more than pleased with the venue as charming stopover. Troyes itself is a pretty town full of restaurants, bars cafe and, of course, champagne. We found this hotel in the Troyes Tourist Office list of local hotels - picking it our from the others on the basis of price, location and appearance.
