In our 8th decade we had a wonderful time at this part DIY camping site. Few Brits, many French and Nordics, all keen - apart from us, now too elderly, - on walking and climbing and riding (bikers as well as superb horses).Ambience unfaultable, no complaints from anyone as far as we know, staff helpful. Carry your own breakfast tray to the gloriously viewed outside, and jostle with all else for supper - provided one's neighbour is not a compatriot - an House Rule.Rent a car if you wish and drive along unforgettably dangerous and isolated mountain roads, being careful not to bump a chestnut eating boar. Visit while journeying first class estblishments for lunch as mentioned in Rough Guide. more
