We booked a golf-hotel package through a Dutch website for 3 nights/4 days in mid-April of last year. The price was very reasonable for the 3 days of golfing and the accomodation.
Basically, we had both the hotel and the golf to ourselves. We were one of the only guests as we stayed mid week in the off-season. We stayed in the main chateau on the premise in a spacious room. We had a large bathroom and separate toilet closet as well. The decor of the room and main chateau is a bit outdated and threadbaren... if it was really "antique," then I would not say it was outdated, but the chateau has an ecletic range of furnishings, paintings and decorations... it all works but looks like it could use a revamp to make it align with the surrounding of the historic chateau, moat and property.
We also used the pool and sauna onsite. Both were small but again we had the run of the place. The fitness facility wasn't much-- very small and limited. Better to go for a...
