We actually stayed Oct 2018 but couldn’t put in that date. The hotel is part of the Logis de France association which is made up with individual owner/operators. I recommend booking via their web site or direct with hotel. We booked in for a couple of nights en Reuter’s back to Paris. Arrived lunchtime Sunday and walked straight into a restaurant full of happy locals. Madam booked us a table and we dumped our bags in the room and headed back down for a wonderful lunch. Good food, wine and friendly staff. The rooms are fine and reasonably priced. Comfortable with everything you need. There are internal stairs which would be an issue for anyone with a mobility issue. A couple of nights is all you need to visit the Chateau which was well worth the visit. There is an open air large car park 100 meters up the side street the hotel is in. It was reasonably priced and easy to pay and exit. I would recommend this hotel and suggest you pre book for the restaurant.…

My wife and I spent two nights here. We found it to be a delightful local Hotel. The people at the Hotel are very friendly and helpful. The desk clerks speak excellent English. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. The location of the Hotel is excellent as it is just across the street from the Chateau and very close to numerous nice cafe’s. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

The best was very good - dinner and breakfast excellent, friendly and helpful staff, outstanding location. The downside was the scramble to the third floor through a rabbit warren of staircases and a cramped room with little space for anything [a much needed fan though]. Parking is 100 metres away but an easy enough walk.

You can’t beat the location and the relative low cost of the rooms. That said, there are no elevators and beware there are 4 very narrow staircases to the rooms on the top floor. No frills and not impeccable by any standards. The safe in the room was inoperable (with batteries held in by packing tape) and the breakfast was not worth the cost. One fantastic gem we found was the medieval town of Moret-Loing-et-Orvann. Very charming and if beautiful views and crepes are what you are looking for you must go to La Poterne.

I chose this hotel because it is right in the middle of Fontainebleau, close to the Chateau and central to many restaurant and shopping choices. I could not have been more pleased with this choice. I was very well treated by the staff and everything was perfect with the room. This is not a five-star hotel, but it deserves a five star rating for being excellent at what it tries to be, which is a good and relatively inexpensive hotel in a good location. It serves a decent breakfast. As with many hotels like this, there are some potential safety issues (tripping hazards) with uneven levels and steps in some places, lots of stairs, twists and turns, and need to pay attention to lighting in the hallways. However, this comes with the turf and it is just prudent to be careful.

This hotel is well situated in Fontainebleau. Near the Château, restaurants and shopping. The staff speaks English and are very nice. The room was surprisingly large, as was the bathroom—completely unexpected. It was very clean and comfortable—maybe a bit overheated but the windows open so not a problem. The breakfast is good and an extra cost. The restaurant in the evening was solidly good. Two things that could be better: there was no soap dish in the shower and the Internet had to be logged into continually—a pain.

And surely we will! This hotel is very well situated just next to the entrance of the castle with a super friendly team. Note that the restaurant downstair is just delicious so is the breakfast! Can't wait to visit again!

On holiday we do not normally eat in a hotel restaurant but this was surprisingly pleasant with a very reasonably priced ~and tasty 'menu du jour'. Just off the main thoroughfare but much quieter with friendly service.

But guess what we were still charged!! And have still not been refunded !! We looked on the nights we were due to go and all the rooms were fully booked out ! So the hotel was not out of pocket !
