We have just come back from staying at the apartments on Rue de la Harpe, in the 5th .
Rue de la Harpe runs parallel with B. St Michel, and is packed with restaurants- albeit it is a complete tourist trap...and not really our cup of tea at all but it has plenty of advantages. 1 mins walk from St Michel Station for RER B,C and metro line 4 and 10 , giving it perfect access for the rest of the city as well as the direct line to Gare du Nord and CDG.
It's a moinutes walk to the Seine with amazing views of the Pont Neuf , Ile de la Citie and Notrre Dame (all of which are between 2- 5 mins walk away).
Its a 5 mins walk to Odeon and St Germain which is far more of a typical parisienne experience.Wide Boulevards, Designer shops and plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars..... with rea french people ( something you won't see on Rue de la Harpe!)
The studio itself was a good size. plenty of storage, good bathroom and clean. It was basic but the kitch facilities were really good... more
