Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We needed somewhere to stay near Gare du Nord and for £110/night, this hotel was very good. Friendly staff on the front desk, nicely appointed rooms, v comfy bed and great shower with good water pressure. We slept well and didn’t hear noise from the street. The hotel is literally over the road from Gare du Nord - would thoroughly recommend!

Stayed here with my 10 year old kid. Location is perfect, room was nice (compact) and clean. Staff is super friendly and a plus for having warm baquette for breakfast. Kid had his daily pain au chocolate + hot chocolate for breakfast. Only thing that we were a bit disappointed was that the room was quite cold. But the duvet at the bed was warm so we had a good night sleep nevertheless.

I stayed here 29-30 September and I wish I never did. The hotel is dirty, hair in the bed, noisy, a lot of things are broken.. Breakfast is almost nothing, better to grab breakfast across the street for less money. Worst of all they charge things on your credit card after you're gone. I reached out several times to the hotel but they keep making promises about calling back and checking on it but nothing happens. DO NOT STAY HERE, it's just a scam.

Very convenient choice for the station - it's just across the road. You're probably only staying in this area as a tourist for the proximity to the station, but there are some decent areas in walking distance, especially if you like Indian food. Despite being so close to such a busy road I had no problem at all with noise at night and I'm a light sleeper - the double glazing must have helped here. Bed was comfy and air conditioning worked well, bathroom was also clean.

This is a really good choice for its location. It’s literally 3 minutes from the train station and there are lots of dodgy looking hotels around here. This is clean, nicely looking, even charming in a way, certainly comfortable. Breakfast is fine (much better than others I have had in Paris in similar price hotels), staff very kind. If you need a hotel near Gard du Nord, this is highly recommendable.

I am traveling a lot for business globally in the last years. I would consider myself an experienced traveler. Still, despite trying hard, I wasn't able to get (or better, keep!) a reservation for this hotel. First, I booked the hotel using a booking platform - reservation confirmed and guaranteed with credit card via the platform. A few hours later I receive a message that my payment details couldn't be processed - although with the same card I had made several reservations in the past. Re-Entered it into the booking platform, card authorised, all good. Again few time later, another complain about the credit card payment could not be processed. I cancel the booking at the platform and go directly to the hotel website to make a reservation, entering my credit card again for guaranteeing the room. All good, I receive the booking confirmation. And again, a few hours later, a cancelation. Asking for the reason, the reply is that apparently the credit card couldn't be processed and that I would have to make *another* reservation with another card. Okay... I do that, use another card, same result. Booking confirmed on the website, only to receive a cancelation a few minutes later - although I had exchanged with the hotel meanwhile! - that they again couldn't use the credit card. Yes, both VISA cards are using VISA Secure! Guess what, that is today's recommended standard to avoid fraud or abuse. Get your systems up-to-date that they can process credit card payments with VISA Secure (or MasterCard Identity Check...) or update your internal processes!

I had a wonderful 2 nights stay in this charming hotel— a spacious and cosy room with a hint of vintage homey feel and great price range value for a 4 stars hotel. The owner and staff were very enthusiastic and hosted me with generosity to even upgrade my room to a bigger room! Although I wasn't lucky enough to stumble across the period when they were refurbishing their hot water system, they apologized for the inconvenience, addressed it with compensation, and even suggested I make a full refund if I did not feel comfortable staying without hot water. The only downside is the hotel's location, especially for solo travellers (mainly women). It is disarray with many wanderers around, and it can be unsafe to walk around during the evening.

Cozy hotel lobby, warm welcome by English speaking staff, and just where we needed to be across the street from Gare du Nord. Clean, comfortable room. They were happy to help with directions and recommendations.

A good hotel when on a work visit. Clean, comfortable. Absolutely great bed. A bit quirky perhaps! Really nice staff. Small bar. Typically good french bfast. Excellent value for money. There is a great south Indian vegetarian restaurant next door. I will stay again. Just up the street from Gare de Nord.
