Gorgeous street, and a window in the room which opened out onto the street which was lovely. Host very friendly. Decorated beautifully. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again as I didn’t feel the cleanliness of the room was very good; rubbish under the bed from prior guest, dishes in the kitchenette dirty, no mattress cover on the bed.

We spent 8 days at this hotel and had a wonderful time. It's situated on a very historic street very French and very quiet at night. The room was cute and for the price typical for Paris. We had clean towels and maid service every other day and it was very private. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a very cute little french townhouse, situated on a very picturesque street. The room was a little small but what you expect for Paris. There was a little kitchenette which was handy. The bathroom was small, and a little damp. The whole room was a bit damp but I guess that's what you get in an old style house. The only down side was there was no wifi - but there are local Starbucks and places close by to get wifi. The host was also very friendly.

This was a good little studio apartment set up in Paris. The room was small (it's Paris), but with a little fridge and stove, it was a good base of operations for a trip. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom, while also small, was functional and had plenty of hot water. They do have hairdryers, if anyone is concerned. The owner/manager, Daniel, was very responsive and helpful by email. I'm not going to deduct stars for these next points, since I knew about them in advance, but the check in process and lack of WiFi were a little bit more of a problem (at least for Americans without much of an international phone plan) than I expected. Because there's no front desk at this property, we needed to call Daniel when we arrived - thankfully T-Mobile worked (FYI, Americans, the sound of a phone ringing in France sounds like the disconnected line tone here). We also had more trouble finding free WiFi that worked with our phones (iPhone and Android both) in the city than I expected, which created some other minor inconveniences. Nothing terrible, but it's amazing how much we rely on it these days, and it is a surprising amenity to not provide. Finally, the balance of our bill was due, in cash, upon arrival. That had not (I think), been communicated to us in advance. It wasn't a huge issue, but I imagine it could be for some travelers.

Enjoyed my stay here - if you are looking for charm and character, this is the place! If however mod cons , and reception services are important to you, there is no TV or WiFi or hotel services. WiFi would be a good addition. The room is quite small and the bathroom also small but I'm a petite person so it was fine for me. The street is lovely, quiet, the hotel manager really nice and friendly and the area is fairly central. Having the option to eat in and self catering was great! Would highly recommend this establishment .

My boyfriend and I truly had a brilliant stay in Paris and the apartment just added to the charm of our trip. This was my second stay at L'Hotel Particulier (the first being back in 2012). The room was fairly small but suited our needs perfectly. I love the decor of the building and rooms. The entire apartment/building is clean and is well looked after. The location of the apartment is great also, as well as being on one of the most colourful and prettiest streets of Paris. The only draw back of the apartment was that it didn't have Wi-Fi but I'm sure this is something the owner would be keen to look into adding.

it's more like apart-hotel than a regular hotel; We spent a week here; the room is tiny but clean; also very tiny bathroom (shower curtain should be changed due to mould); lack of any typical hotel facilities (even no Wi-Fi) causes that it's good only if you plan all day out; We chose this hotel because of its great localization - only 5 min walk from the Gare de Lyon train station; general review - grade 4 (good) - as for high Paris prices

I really loved this unconventional hotel. It's in a small street near Bastille and the Seine and everything was perfect. The room is small but clean and functional. There's a small kitchen in case you need to eat in the room. I definitely would go back here. Too bad there's no wifi.

We really enjoyed our stay here and regret not staying longer. This old building has been completely refurbished in a modern style without losing its charm. Positives include comfortable, spacious and quiet bedrooms, a beautiful breakfast room with top quality, fresh local produce including labelled cheeses, etc. etc. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch and Guy (the owner) is on hand to look after guests. Secure underground parking is available directly opposite the hotel for a surcharge but space is tight (there are individual garages within the car park) but there was free on street parking within 50 metres of the hotel. I hope to go again but would park before entering the narrow one way street that runs past the hotel. Once you are in the street you have to go round the block to get back again. The hotel is only a couple of hundred metres from the main squares and so is ideal for a visit to the beautiful centre of Arras. We loved this hotel!

The location is good but the room was exceptionally small with NO wifi. The ensuite though handy, was also very small including the hand basin. Contacting the owner on arrival was a problem. The kitchenette provided basic equipment though no kettle for tea/ coffee. A dish cloth could cone in handy!
