Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would recommend this place to anyone. The room we stayed was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious, lots of selection. Janot provides fresh croissants, fruit, cheeses, etc. Is outside of the city of Paris, but with the train, which is pretty close to the B&B, you'll be there in no time.

Family of 4 with kids(15,12)stayed for 6 nights. It's a beautiful, well preserved traditional French home. A homestay was a first time experience for us and we loved it! Mr. Janot is a very warm person who ensures attention to detail. Breakfast is lavish and wholesome as mentioned in all the reviews. There is also a turn down service with cookies/ chocolate and water. It is located in a quiet and safe residential suburb of Paris with easy access to centre of Paris and Versailles. It's been 3 weeks and we still talk about our stay!! Thank you so much Mr. Janot.

My family and I stayed at Monsieur Janot's house for 6 days. The house is in a very safe neighborhood with local restaurants all around. The beds were very comfortable and it was great staying in an old French-style home. Every day we came down to a wonderful breakfast with fruits, meats, pastries, breads, coffee, etc. The house is very close to the center of the city by train. It's a very short walk from his home to the train station and before you know it you are right next to the Eiffel Tower. Monsieur Janot has been serving people all of his live and is the best host I have ever experienced. He is fluent in English which is very helpful. I highly recommend staying with him instead of a hotel in the city or something like that.

What a great house. Mr. Janot is a wonderful host. We enjoyed a room and bathroom to ourselves. Breakfast was great; pineapple, cantaloupe, berries, fresh bread and more, it was a feast. He gave us great directions that allowed us to visit Paris and Versailles without any problems. This was truly a wonderful experience.

This was our first visit to Paris and we boomed with Monsieur Janot after seeing his reviews on bedandbreakfast.com as well as TripAdvisor. We are so glad we did! Prices may Change depending on season so check bedandbreakfast.com for his current prices, but it's the absolute best for the price range (60€ -80€ I believe). It includes a wonderful breakfast as well! There is juice, water, breads and pastries, Homemade preserves, fresh fruit, yogurt, and some nice cheese and meat. Mr. Janot is so genuine and warm to be around and makes sure everything is in order and you have everything you need. We stayed on the top floor, it's a room and a private bathroom including towels and some wash if you forgot yours, also a hair dryer and a bathroom skylight window that you can open for some fresh air. Mr. Janot made the room and bathroom daily, and every night we had treats (little cookies and candies as well as a large bottle of water) waiting for us when we got home. The bed is very comfortable with little side lamps, 2 night stands, and a little table and chairs in the room to have a night cap. It's about 20 mins into the heart of Paris, you take Tram 2 towards La Defense, then Metro 1 wherever you want to go (Champs Elysees, The Louvre, etc). Metros are very easy once you get used to them. The neighbourhood is very safe to walk in day and night. Obviously use common sense but we never felt put of place. There are some really great places to eat for a decent price in this area as well, the pizza place on the corner (La Boite a Pizza Courbevoie) has an amazing Chef Special with mushrooms and beef for around 12€ that we ate 3 times while here, and the Chinese Buffet for 16.50€ for dinner (Nouveau Palais Royal) is the best we've ever had, anywhere, period. The quality and service is unreal. The house is great, the host is amazing (and speaks fluent English) and the breakfast is plentiful. Highly recommended a stay with Monsieur Janot.

My 6 year old daughter and I stayed with Mr Janot for 4 nights, and I don't know why anyone would choose to stay anywhere else to see the sights of Paris. The room and private bathroom were spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated, each day, Mr Janot left delightful treats and fresh water for our return, excellent breakfast was served each morning to suit our schedule and it is just 15 - 20 minutes from all of the sights using the excellent transport system Paris has to offer. Because the residence is in a quiet suburb of Paris, a couple of minutes walk from the door there were many restaurants without the high Paris price tag to choose from. Each morning Mr Janot helped us plan our travel and gave us excellent tips. I will definitely return.

This was my first visit to Paris and there are many things that have ensured I shall return. One of which is Monsieur Janot. My stay was short (2 nights) but I was treated superbly by Mr Janot. Plenty of advice and enthusiasm when asked for. The villa is delightful and homely. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Excellent location for public transport which I used throughout my stay. Will return to both Paris and Monsieur Janot again. Highly recommended.

My Brother and I stayed at Monsieur Janot's villa for a few days and we were impressed by the level of hospitality shown. The villa and the rooms were enchanting and the breakfast was more than enough to start our day. Monsieur Janot is extremely experienced in the Hotel/hospitality industry and he was so helpful with any questions that were raised. We would definitely like to visit again.

My friend and I stayed here during September. You are in a residential house - there are about 2 bedrooms with a double bed - perfect for couples. You are a little out of the city but it is only a short train ride in and train tickets are cheap. The house and rooms were very pretty. The host was fantastic - he was very kind, spoilt us and offered you a lot of help. He would ask us everyday what time we would want breakfast - then he would get up earlier to get fresh croissants and baguettes for us. Would defiantly stay here again!
