Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quiet and very comfortable, duplex room ideal for our family. Nice breakfast, very friendly staff, walking distance to river and excellent transport links. Lots of good options for eating within a very short walk.

Very quaint hotel on the Left Bank, just off Blvd. Saint-Germain and blocks from the Luxembourg Gardens... great location. Staff was pleasant and helpful throughout my stay (5 nights). Simple yet delicious continental breakfast in the mornings, with great, strong coffee! Walking distance to virtually everywhere and the Metro stop is just a couple blocks away. I've been to Paris 20+ times and have never stayed in the Rive Gauche, but found the quieter vibe, student and intellectual atmosphere, and great shops, galleries and restaurants a perfect fit for me!

Had a great stay at this hotel. The service was phenomenal and the staff was very friendly. The location is great and it was easy to walk or metro to everything. Lots of nice places to eat nearby and close to Norte Dame.

The hotel was nice and comfortable hotel, with a very good location. The rooms were larger than usual in Paris. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was a bit limited in the choice and could be enriched.

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your recent visit with your family. It has been a pleasure to welcome you and speak Italian with you. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your stay and that the size of your rooms was satisfactory. We'd really like to enrich our breakfast, but every little space on our buffet and even on the shelves dedicated to orange juice is used up. We offer a wide choice of assorted breads, “croissants” and buns, cakes, cereals (Muesli & Corn flakes), fresh fruit salad, cheeses, cottage cheese, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, ham…We also offer real expresso café and even delicous capuccino (which is perfect for Italian people)... We hope to see you back and we thank you again for your 4 star review. Yours faithfully Valerie Benigno Sales manager

Rooms are very clean and pleasant. Needs a keycard to activate power in the room. Heating/cooling has a separate button on the thermostat to activate. Location is superb. The front desk is wonderful and very attentive. Elevators are small, but the building is very old and authentic. Breakfast is served in the mornings if that is your thing. There is a laundry service for casual clothing (jeans, tee's, sweatshirts etc).

Dear Guest, It was a real pleasure to read through your positively glowing 5* review. A huge thank-you for setting aside the time to share your detailed experience and your most appreciated feedback with us. In many hotels, the magnetic card used to open your room door also activates the light. Our traditional locks with a real key and beautiful red pompom key-rings are very popular. To help reduce our energy footprint on the planet, these cards turn off the lights in your absence (but not the minibar or air-conditioning). Thank - you for your complements on the service you received from your arrival until your departure from our reception team. We trust that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back once again where I ensure that our team will continue making your stay extra special. Looking forward to welcoming you again, some day, Yours faithfully Valerie Benigno Sales manager

We spent one night here on a whirlwind trip through Paris during the holidays. The service was fantastic and easily the most memorable part of our stay. When our travel plans changed at the last minute, the hotel staff was kind enough to change our reservation even though it went against their minimum night stay policy for a certain package I booked. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and inviting. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well maintenance. The bathrooms were modern and well appointed, which isn’t always the case for unique boutique hotels with significant character similar to this one. The hotel is positioned centrally, and the majority of the city is accessible through walking or a taxi/Uber. We found several local bars, restaurants and coffee shops to spend our time a short walking distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to everyone. We’ll be back!

I had a great stay here. The room was surprisingly large, well-appointed, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked well. The member of the reception staff who greeted me was exceedingly pleasant, helpful, and professional She explained things very well and helped me to sort out the details of an early morning departure for the airport. I don't usually take breakfast at hotels, but I decided to do so here and I'm glad I did. There was a copious buffet in a lovely vaulted room and my coffee was served by a charming and elegant lady. My one night stay occurred at the end of a rather trying trip, and I immediately felt that I was in good hands. Highly recommended!

What a lovely hotel! We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Paris. The Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The location is ideal for great food and drinks and it located so close to the Luxembourg Gardens. We walked to see most sites anywhere from 1- 3 miles one way but you can easily take the Metro, bus or even Uber.
