This hotel is without doubt the filthiest, dirtiest place we have ever stayed at.. The room was tastefully decorated with mould on the walls, filthy bed covers and the bathroom was quite disgusting. The travel company, Cresta Holidays have not been at all interested in our legitimate complaints and we would never recommend them even to our worst enemy. more

it was my first time in paris, and i expected for the worst .. but the rooms was in a perfect size for us (not to small), the staff were great !! even with the inglish (consider to ather pariz citizens ..) we realy liked the location, in the middle of a quiet street with coffeshops restaurants and all the... more

This was my second stay here 10 years apart. Love the location with easy access to Paris with 2 metro lines nearby. Rooms are small, but normal for Paris with small bathrooms that could be cleaner but the water was hot and plentiful. Towels were small but clean and they did the job. Breakfast breads were fresh but would not... more

This hotel was more than adequate for a 3 day stay where my only concern was to have somewhere to wash and sleep for 2 nights! The rooms and public areas were very clean and there was ample space in the single room I had for bags, clothes, etc. Only a 10 minute metro ride to most of Paris' main... more

This is a budget hotel in Paris, and it has many of the features you expect from such a place: very small room, worn and mismatched linens, stained carpet. However, it has very friendly, helpful staff; cheerful attractive lobby/breakfast room, a good breakfast; and a quiet location very near a Metro Station (Oberkamp). I recommend it. more

Can't understand the problems that some of the other reviewers were reporting! - My wife and I stayed there just a week ago (mid-february, 2008), and found L'Hotel de Mericourt to be clean, relatively inexpensive (very inexpensive for Paris), in a nice neighborhood and near the metro, with friendly and very helpful staff! What more could you want? Yes, the... more

It was my second stay at the Hôtel de Méricourt and like last year, the staff was extremely friendly and the room very decent for the price you pay. They sure could do a better job cleaning the bathroom (some mildew in some places) but overall it is very good for Paris and well situated. The breakfast was great: croissant,... more

First, it's important to understand what this hotel is not. It's not the Holiday Inn somewhere in America. The hotel is small, the elevator is small (though not nonexistent, as one earlier review stated), and the rooms and bathrooms are small. If you're looking for a big suite with a pull-out sofa and a mini-bar, this isn't your place. If... more

The hotel rooms are like cubicles with very thin walls. You can hear everything. Cleanliness was questionable and the shower was a very tiny space. This was not what i had expected. The positive was that the staff was polite and helpful. I would not recommend this place. Also, it was far removed from the Marais. more
