My family and I had a delightful stay at the Paris Marriott Opera Hotel. Its unbeatable location, just a short stroll from Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, and the Louvre Museum, made exploring Paris a breeze. The hotel's European-inspired interior design exuded charm and comfort, providing a welcoming retreat after a day of sightseeing. The service was exceptional, with a special shoutout to Mohamed and Methlada for their outstanding assistance and hospitality. As a loyalty member, I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at the club lounge, which boasted stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, and the complimentary happy hours were a lovely touch. Overall, our experience was nothing short of fantastic, and we look forward to returning in the future.

The hotel's location was amazing. Just 100 meter away, there's a Lafayette gallery (department store) and metro station. Thibault from the reception team offered me a memorable service and kind hearts upon check-in. Thanks to him, I had a great 4-night-stay and it was definitely perfect stay in Paris. I would love to visit again if possible. Thank you so much for everything

This is our favorite hotel in Paris! The location is amazing. It is around the corner from the Palais Garnier Opera House and the Galeries Lafayette Mall. Less than a mile away are the Louvre and Musée de l'Orangerie. We have stayed in one of the smaller rooms and a couple of the suites and both were very nice; the suite of course, has much more space. Items that we have noticed as others have recently...when we arrived the rooms were not ready at check-in time. Not sure if the hotels is short staffed, but the reception team offered us another room while we waited. One of the suites we stayed in was heavily perfumed. I am unsure of the reason, but we assumed this was due to the water system/pipes renovation. It could also just be that this is an old building and old buildings usually smell...old! While others have mentioned the staff being rude, we have not found that to be the case. This is a busy hotel and we have come in multiple times while the reception team was helping other guests. We found them to be extremely professional and courteous to everyone. We asked for restaurant suggestions and they were also very knowledgeable and gave us good suggestions based on the group and food interests. The hotel offers a breakfast in the restaurant as well as the penthouse lounge. Since we are platnium members, we like to eat upstairs and the view and the eggs are (wait for it....) eggselent! They provide a full breakfast with French favorites such as crepes, croissants and baguettes. But they have many options such as tomatoes, oatmeal, yogurt and cereal as well. Is there anything more enjoyable than sitting by the window and looking at the Eiffel tower while you drink your coffee and eat your croissant? Ah, Paris!

Dear asprenkleofadventure, Your description of our hotel as your favorite hotel in Paris paints a vivid picture of a truly remarkable stay. The hotel's prime location near the Palais Garnier Opera House, the Galeries Lafayette Mall, the Louvre, and the Musée de l'Orangerie undoubtedly adds to its allure, making it a convenient hub for exploring the city's cultural treasures. Your experiences in both the smaller rooms and the suites highlight the hotel's commitment to providing comfort and luxury to its guests. While encountering a few hiccups, such as delayed room readiness and a heavily perfumed suite, it's commendable that the reception team swiftly addressed these issues, offering alternative accommodations and maintaining professionalism throughout. Your observation regarding the possibility of the perfume emanating from renovations or the inherent charm of an old building showcases your understanding and patience. Despite hearing others' complaints about staff rudeness, your encounters have been quite the opposite. The reception team's efficiency and courtesy, even during busy periods, speak volumes about their dedication to guest satisfaction. Their expertise in providing restaurant recommendations tailored to your preferences further enhances the overall experience, reflecting the hotel's commitment to personalized service. As platinum members, the breakfast offerings in both the restaurant and penthouse lounge undoubtedly add an extra layer of luxury to your stay. The panoramic views of the city, coupled with a sumptuous spread of French delicacies, create an unforgettable dining experience. And what could be more quintessentially Parisian than savoring a croissant while gazing out at the Eiffel Tower bathed in morning light? In essence, your glowing review captures the essence of a memorable stay in one of Paris's finest hotels, blending convenience, luxury, and attentive service seamlessly. Thank you for sharing your delightful experiences! Warm regards, Martina Jasseron Guest Relations Manager

I was a guest with my family at Paris Marriott Ambassador Opera from Jan 19 to 21. I also made another reservation for my husband in case we needed another room - this other reservation was for just one night - Jan 20 to 21. When my husband arrived on Jan 20, the room was going to be ready late in the afternoon and I asked the reception if I could cancel the second reservation and stay in only one room. They told me I could cancel it, and when I asked if I had to pay the charge, I was told I should only write to Booking.com making this request and they would approve the cancellation without charges. At the occasion I talked to Thomas and told him if I had to pay anything I would stay in the room and he was clear that I should only write to Booking.com and make the request and he would make the approval. I TRUSTED HIM, as I am used to staying in a lot of Marriott hotels Worldwide and I never had any problem. I did what I was told: I made the cancellation directly with the hotel reception and wrote to Booking.com. Also, when I left the hotel, I talked to Charles at the reception and I asked him to give me a cancellation paper or a prove that we agreed on the cancellation and that I was not going to be charged. He said he didn’t have any papers to give me and if I had any trouble I should just call and solve it. I did as I was told - wrote to Booking.com - and I was very surprised when the hotel refused to agree with the cancellation and waive the fee. Also, as I was told, I called the hotel and then I talked to the manager Thiebauld, who said Thomas and Charles never spoke to me and that they could not gave told me they would not agree with the charge, and also that they would charge me the fee for the night! So, I realized I was DECEIVED by the hotel receptionists! They LIED to me!! They really told me I would not be charged and I was! They could gave told me at first that I really was going to be charged because I WAS AT THE HOTEL AND I COULD HAVE USED THE ROOM. I would not have cancelled it!! I would have kept the room!! But no, I was made to believe I was not going to be charged, so the room was free and they charged me!!! I could never have expected to be deceived by such a huge hotel chain, which I tought was made of HONEST PEOPLE. But no. Paris Marriott Ambassador Opera IS NOT HONEST. You have LIARS at the reception. What a disappointment for me!!! I had another reservation for my family starting Sunday, and I was going to stay there again for 4 nights. But I have already cancelled it and I will never get back to a place where I was lied to. Where I cannot trust people at the reception. Where they lie at your face saying they never talked to you. THEY CAN LOOK IN THE CAMERAS! I sat on the table next to the reception and talked to Thomas about it!! How can they deny that? I will never get back to a Marriott hotel anywhere in the world, and I will tell everybody I cannot to go there. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT WITH A HOTEL CHAIN WHICH I USED TO LIKE!!! working for you! If you are honest and want to talk to me

Another visit to Paris for busy Fashion week and after much consideration we chose this property again. This was influenced by price, location and previous experience. We had a lovely check in this time, a glass of Prosecco was offered as regular customers (lovely touch!) and a can do friendly attitude by the front desk gentleman who immediately offered late check out (which was really important to us as Titanium Bonvoy members). The room was clean, comfortable and well decorated in a stylish contemporary way but keeping some of the original features. Room temperature was perfect (in winter sun Europe some hotels seem to overheat the rooms but we switched off the aircon and it was fine). The Executive Lounge was lovely, very good selection of breakfast and evening snacks and acceptable wine and beer. Staff excellent and very attentive in the lounge. Lovely view of Eiffel Tower. We have already booked again for June and looking forward to another return visit. This is our new go to place in Paris.

We stayed at the Paris Opera Ambassador Hotel the weekend of Dec 15th. When we arrived at the hotel at 6:30pm our room was not ready. They asked for us to have a drink and the room would be ready in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later the room was still not ready. We had a dinner reservation for 7pm and had to leave without freshening up. When we returned at 10pm, we waited 20 minutes to check-in and get our key. I am Titanium Status, the hotel very little to recognize our status. In addition, we paid for a suite. We kept getting emails to pay for an upgrade for an executive suite room that we already had secured payment for. The actual room which was a suite was not well maintained, there were marks on the walls and overall need refurbishment, the actual design was very strange (bedroom had 4 doors, very inefficient design) and the room was very noisy. The location is good but not as good as the Westin Vendome. We would have been better off staying at the Westin in a standard room.

Last September (2023), I made a reservation at the Marriott Opera Ambassador based on positive reviews and its proximity to shopping areas. Regrettably, my five-night stay at the hotel has left me with an unpleasant experience, making it unlikely for me to return to Paris anytime soon. On the second day of my stay, I discovered that my luggage had been tampered with, and several pieces of my jewelry were missing. Despite my belongings being securely locked in my luggage and my room, the hotel staff was unable to identify who had accessed my room. It appeared as though the staff were familiar with such theft incidents and lacked the means to address them. Consequently, I spent a considerable amount of time speaking with the front desk, attempting to unravel the situation. Unfortunately, the staff neither inquired about the value of the stolen items nor demonstrated any interest in improving my experience. Their response was simply that there was nothing they could do. After numerous frustrating conversations, I resorted to telling them that the lost jewelry were of minimal value and even went so far as to describe them as "fake." Surprisingly, the next day, the jewelry mysteriously reappeared in my locked luggage without any explanation. This incident left me feeling disturbed. To exacerbate matters, there was no follow-up or explanation provided by the hotel management at the conclusion of my stay, indicating a severe lack of accountability and poor management. This unfortunate incident strongly suggests an inside job, painting a disconcerting picture of a hotel filled with individuals keen on exploiting tourists' belongings, and know there's no consequences for their actions. Over the past year, I've heard of similar incidents, some more extreme, such as thefts taking the entire security box from hotel rooms. Having been to Paris multiple times, it appears that the city has undergone significant changes since the pandemic. I have no intention of returning anytime soon, and certainly not to this particular hotel. While I remain a proud Marriott Bonvoy member and continue to enjoy my stays at other Marriott hotels worldwide, this specific experience at the Marriott Opera Ambassador has solidified its position as my least favorite.

Dear Ms. Yingyim2018, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay at the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel. We appreciate your thoughts on the unfolding of your stay. As a reputable Marriott property, there are standards in place and under no cirucmstances would any staff members attempt to tamper with guest's belongings. In all guestrooms can be found safety deposit boxes. As for the luggage room by the Concierge counter, only staff members can access it. We also have security guards within hte premises. Such a case is very disturbing and immediate assistance was provided to address the problem immediately. Your experience does not reflect on outstanding service deliveed daily. Your valuable and constructive comments will be shared with the management. Sincerely, Maxime , Guest Relations Supervisor
