I just got home after a week´s stay at this hotel and all I can say is it´s been my worst experience abroad. I got bitten all over my body by bedbugs and I´m still under medical treatment to get rid of the rash. Besides, as soon as you get there you find out it´s got two stars instead of... more
Make sure you bring a strong anti-allergenic if you wish to stay here. Would be a nice and good located hotel if it wasn't for the bedbug colonies that made our trip disastrous. We were left with this horrible skin rash and allergy, ruining what could have been a great bank holiday weekend! :( more
We had booked 3 nights stay but on arrival was told there was a 'problem' with our room, so we had to walk about 200 yards to another hotel where we stayed the first night. For this inconvenience we did not even receive an apology! We eventually moved into the hotel 1 day later and were disappointed with the size,... more
This is a charming hotel in alovely area of Central Paris. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated though not overly large. To be honest i did not want lo leave! This is a great little city hotel with a wonderful restaurant opposite and close to all sights and amenities. Un... more
Advertised on some websites as 3 or 3 plus stars, it is officially only two star. It is clean and breakfast is good. But it's poor value, the rooms are very small, the staff are surly and simply don't care. We needed two twin rooms and were given one twin and a double. This was not appropriate for us, but... more
Just back from a 3 night stay in this hotel, having read the reviews here, I was apprehensive, but pleasantly surprised on arrival. The room was an ok size, and the bed was big. Flat screen tv was a bonus, and the double glazing was great. No minibar in the roon but you could take drinks from the hotel bar... more
I am so, so angry at this hotel! Despite my pre-paid two-night reservation at the three-star Lamartine, on my arrival they shunted me off to another hotel, claiming they had no room for me. And what I got turned out to be a dismal room in the Hotel Rome Paris, a shabby, run-down and dirty two-star flophouse that stank of... more
i stayed with my girlfriend for 6 nights in this quiet, extremely clean and friendly hotel situated on the side street of the busy Rue de lafayette. The hotel room was small but on looking on alot of other hotel sites, the parisean hotels dont accomodate large spaces so this was not a shock to us. The room was nicely... more
LaMartine Opera is easy to get to from the Gare du Nord. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station down Rue Maubeuge. A nearby neighborhood (5 minutes away) has all types of food shops and is convenient to the hotel. Using a street map and a direct route will get you to the Louvee in 15-20 minutes... more
