We booked the Prelude Gare du Nord for just the 1 night for the France v Lithuania game at the Stade de France through Eurostar to go with the train tickets. The first thing I should say is that having the title of Gare du Nord in the hotel name is slightly misleading. Although its close, it is still a... more
The idea was to spend a couple of days in Paris before heading back home. When I'm traveling alone my requirements are straightforward - a decent bed and a clean bath-cum-toilet, the cheaper the better. I was arriving by the Thalys from Amsterdam into the Gare du Nord and I was looking for a place close enough not to require... more
Located minutes away from the Sacre Cure ,on an inside street minutes (walking) from the Gare du Nord, this small Hotel is a fair value for money in Paris. The rooms are as expected in a Small Hotel i Paris.our twin room had two single beds +an extra single bed,a balcony to the street, shower and toilet en suite.A TV, and coffee maker,hairdryer... more
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location was very easy to find. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk from Anvers Metro station, a 5 minute walk to the Sacre Couer and a 15 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge. The staff are very friendly, and although the breakfast was basic - croissant, bread rolls and... more
I think I've just had enough for what I paid. The room wasn't flawlessly clean, the carpet was a bit old, however the sheets and bathroom was fine. I paid for a standard room but surprisingly my bed was quite roomy, and I also got bathroom with tub. Breakfast was standard (croissant, pastry with juice/milk, yoghurt) but enough to start... more
we were prepared for basic but oh my gofd it was like a cabin on a boat, so small and grubby we had the worse room of our friends , only thing was we were out all day from early morning till night, so it suited. was very central and breakfast was fab. wouldnt want to be gettin romantic in... more
This hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord, and is located just 10 mins away from the Sacre Coeur and the butte de montmatre, so is in a great location for tourists coming from the UK. Unlike lots of hotels that list themselves as being in montmatre, this one isn't near to the seedy sex shops... more
The Prelude Gare Du Nord is a great hotel right in the heart of the montmarte area. The Moulin Rouge is just up the road as is the Sacre Coure. There's metro stations within walking distance. We paid £55 per night which included breakfast. The rooms are small but they are clean and the shower worked well (always a bonus).... more
Very reasonable price for a Paris Hotel.Foyer and staff excellent.Position excellent for Metro which is cheap and very handy for everywhere. On the down side.Rooms are tiny and bathrooms are also tiny and in our case the shower actually had a hole in the wall (room 202).Walls are also very thin. However if you are on a budget bearing in mind Paris... more
