It's a very small and cozy hotel, despite being a Mercure. Very small room, with little space for clothes, but very clean and with modern acessories, such as individual reading lights, besides the complete bathroom with an excelent shower and hair drier. The location is also very convenient. The closest metro station is Miromesnil, which is served by two lines... more

We picked this hotel because of its central location and the fact that it is a chain to ensure cleanliness. The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean. This was a great hotel well situated in the safe area of opéra. The bathroom was small and it will take about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest... more

Small hotel in a quiet street near Place St Augustin and not far to stagger back with the shopping from Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, the big stores on Bd Haussmann. Less than ten minutes stroll the other way gets you to the lower end of the Champs Elysees. Rooms are small but have recently been refurbished with modern bathrooms, flat... more

Hmmmm! Good point first - good location 15 mins from Champs d'Elysee and only 5 mins from Haussmann. After that it's a small, old-fashioned, unfriendly, unprofessionally run, basic French hotel. Reception staff cold and unfriendly, rooms tiny (and many just painted the day they were "trying" to check people in). Furnishings and roll of carpet left partially blocking the only... more

I stayed at the Mercure St. Augustin on January 31-February 3, 2008, and while I found the hotel itself delightful, there were a couple of things that could have made my stay more pleasant. As for location, this Mercure is in a great spot with access to several metro stations and it's within walking distance to St. Lazare. And I... more

Finding a hotel in Paris is not easy. We looked at alot of websites and some of the pictures of the rooms looked horrible so we eventually chose the Mercure because we believe that they have a standard of being basic and clean and that you sort of know what you can expect from a Mercure. I also liked the... more

Would avoid for the next 3-6 months until construction is finished. Fumes are strong, and there is noise from the construction. The rooms are small, but that's fine if you don't plan to spend any time in the room at all. more

Just returned from a four night midweek break in Paris and we stayed at this hotel. It has all the hall marks of a small family run hotel that has been sold to one of the big chains (in this case Accor Hotels) and has been revamped and improved. It is very modern but a bit 'characterless.' Of course this... more

I stayed at this hotel in the 8th district from Friday, December 9th 2004 checking out Tuesday, December 14th on the top floor, in room #602 as part of a Continental vacation package so the room cost me $394.00USD (or $98.50 USD/day). The lift only goes up to the 5th floor so I had to walk my bags up the... more
