I am in Paris as I write this and the Central Marais is no longer in business. I wanted to warn others of this because good reviews out way the bad reviews on this thread and I didn't want anyone thinking of staying at the Central to be disappointed. Actually, though my last stay at this hotel was in June...

Fantastic location - great travel links. Hotel was full of charm and character, even the stair case ! Surrounding area superb, great shops and night life. Hotel bar nice place to start off the night. Paris isn't the cheapest place to eat eat and drink but Hotel Central is an ideal base to explore Paris from. Would stay again.

I've just reserved for September 2010. This will be the 4th time I stay at the Hotel Central Marais over a period of 8 years.
I had to laugh at the earlier reviewer who said he got a much better price and facilities a 15 minute subway ride out. I want to be able to step out the door and...

From...

I'm glad I never read any of the reviews before staying here, otherwise I might have turned and ran for the hills! I think some of the criticisms are a little unfair - what were some people expecting for 90 euros per room per night - the Georges V? Yes, the staircase is difficult to negotiate if you have a...

I like this hotel because it is so close to the gay life in Paris.I have stayed here 3or 4 times. Everyone was kind to me. I love the bar downstairs. It is a great clip to the evening or a fresh start. The owner is Welsh and therefore understands hospitality. The boys in the bar are entertaining and friendly.Last summer I...

I stayed at this hotel mainly because it was heart of gay Marais. I also want to dispel some of the negative reviews as I think some of them are unfair. First off, I want to say Aylau and Martin were super nice and helpful. When I arrived, I noticed I was THREE DAYS EARLY as I had messed up...
