This was our second visit to Des Nations, having previously had a less than satisfactory stay a year ago, and I am happy to say that our second stay was a huge improvement on last year's. I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival specifically requesting a room on one of the upper floors (on our last vist we were... more

We just got back from Paris and the Hotel location was excellent, beteween 2 metro lines and close to everything. They have an excellent buffett breakfast and the personel is very nice and friendly. The rooms are very small but very clean. An overweight person wont fit in the shower stall. The area hotels specially those located on Rue Moffetard... more

A great small hotel within 2 blocks of 3 Metro stops but within walking distance of most sight-seeing destinations. Cafes and shops also very convenient . The staff was extremely helpful and willing to help with any questions I had. The hotel was approx. 500 meters from Notre Dame and other sights. I usually would walk to most sights and... more

A French colleague booked this hotel for me. The hotel is small, and the rooms are really tiny. However. the room I had (room #1) was very comfortable, as the closet and dressers had much space for my clothes. In addition there was a small desk over there, which was comfortable for working on my computer. The room and bath... more

This was a huge disappointment and a waste of much money. We booked this so called 3 star hotel online and was excited because of it's location in the Latin Quarter. The worst part was that we booked this hotel for 10 nights. This is not a 3 star hotel. I would give it only one star because of the... more

The location was good, but the room wasn't terribly clean and the air conditioning didn't work. Even though the weather wasn't terribly warm it was still stifling in the room and made it feel even smaller than it was. more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We were given one of the rooms that seem frequently mentioned in the bad reviews in the court yard. We were in #3 or #4. The bathroom was huge compared to other pictures I’ve seem from reviews. It only had a shower which was fine with us. The room was not huge... more

My 20 yr old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for one week. The room was very small but we expected that from the reviews we read on this sight. We had a room on the 4th floor facing the street which was fine for us. Rue Monge is a busy street, and the hotel is between two metro... more

My colleague and I stayed for one night this week and were allocated rooms 1 and 2 - in the dark courtyard. The man on reception was very pleasant and we did not stay long in the room and as we were only there for one night the room was adequate. The bathroom was clean. I had no complaints..... until.......I... more

Paris hotels like this a treading a very fine line between being charmant and plain unacceptable. Small rooms, thin walls, shabby chic public areas are all kind of OK if one is not paying too much, but this is 180 euros a night if one walks of the streets. The des Nations is no better or worse than other Parisian... more
