The location of the hotel was great - despite its reputation, the area is buzzy and convienient for the rest of paris, with plenty of shops and restautants. However, the hotel is pretty poor. The lift only goes from the first floor, not the ground floor, and stops mid floors, opening onto the spiral staircase - I didn't feel safe.... more

We stayed here for five nights in August. The hotel is located at the junction of Rue Mansart and Rue Fontaine, above a couple of bars/brasseries and close to various nightclubs and fast-food outlets. It is also no more than a couple of hundred yards from the Moulin Rouge, so all in all, this is in the heart of an... more

This has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We arrived to find a concierge (actually I give him too much credit calling him that) smoking away and totally disinterested in our booking. There is no elevator at all!! The room was disgusting - absolutely tiny, with really old and smelly carpet and the beds were the... more

We booked this hotel without having chance to see any reviews or really research it, just prior to departure however we had a look on trip advisor and realised we probably shouldn't expect very much from this hotel. However, we found that things were much MUCH worse than our already low expectations. The hotel was generally shabby and run down... more

This place is an absolute dump. Only stayed one night as it was part of an IntrepidTravel package trip. The 'Restaurant' is a bunch of tables crammed into what technically is the first floor landing area. The room including bathroom were dirty. Try the Hotel Royal Opera in the Madeleine area for good value and clean rooms. more

Noisy patrons inside all night, every night for a week, including someone trying to break into our room in the middle of the night. Noisy party goers outside all night. Clean bedding, clean bathroom, although no working plug for bath and no hook for hand held shower, we bought our own plug, horizontal showers very uncomfortable. Room very worn and... more

Positive: + central, close to sights & metro, everything in walking distance + restaurants, grocery store and bakery close + rates for the room are moderate Negative: - very loud (across the street is a discotheque) - mattresses are old and uncomfortable - bath tub was dirty & no shower curtain (in my room) - breakfast is limeted to one... more

A great hotel if you wish to visit the Louvre/Opera. Beautiful room with lots of space and a large bathroom. Very comfortable bed and a good continental breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. more
