This was a great hotel that didn't have any frills but was adequate and had an amazing view of the Opera Comique. Just down the street from the Opera, there was so many things to see. Passages extended back behind some of the streets like Rue Vivienne and offered other shopping and dining experiences that shouldn't be missed. The breakfast... more

I have stayed at the Favart a number of times and it has always been a trouble-free experience. The building itself is quite old and a plaque on the outside wall informs the passerby that the great Spanish artist Goya used to live there. The hotel is situated in a quiet side street looking out across a small pedestrianised square... more

We found the Hotel Favart on the internet, so wondered how we would like it. It was wonderful in every way --- charming, clean and friendly. The location was ideal, within walking distance of many attractions yet just a block from a Metro station. The neighborhood was filled with restaurants and cafes. Our ample-sized room looked out over the charming... more

We stayed in January 2009. Great large room, very clean, convienent location. Walking distance to Metro. Front desk Mary was very helpful with information to get around Paris. She spoke english and it was much appreciated. Continenal breakfast included which was very nice way to start the day. My only regret was that the weather was cold. I will certainly... more

I spent a weekend at the Favart during the month of January 2009. The purpose of my trip was checking the sales, since I already visited Paris many times and already saw the sights. I needed to be conveniently located close to the main shopping areas and this hotel is perfect. It is so central you can walk everywhere (even... more

I found this hotel through this website and having never been to Paris before we were pleasantly suprised ,this hotel is in a very good location, down a side street (bit grotty) but tiny walk to main streets and cafe's, we walked all aroud the central city, right down to the Louvre, about an hour, but so much to see... more

I would concur with those reviewers who have been quick to point out that the hotel has charm and character: mirrors everywhere, pseudo-baroque furniture, ceilings with dark beams. That being said, however, everything is in need of renovation. Do not misunderstand me here: it is not desperately in need but the time has come. The shower smells of mould, the... more

This was my first official visit to Paris and I found this hotel through a known travel agency. I did not read any reviews before my trip, but I checked out the location and asked one of my friends in Paris to check out the hotel and I was told it was worth it. I landed at 7:30 am and... more
