This is a really bad place. The hotel is just cancerous growth located in the anus of Paris with the red light discrict just around the corner. For the same money, you can get something much better. I stayed there during July - it was hot and horrible. Air conditioning did not work. The hotel is dim and grim. The... more

This dreadful hotel totally coloured our Paris experience. It was booked for us through a travel agent who really should have researched a lot better that she did. The room was minute and the cieling looked as though it had leaked at some stage and would do so again if it rained. The room was not serviced, we made our... more

I read a few reviews before we stayed at the Apllo Opera and have to admit, I was a little nervous about it. However we didn't have a problem at all. Yes the rooms were small and purely functional, but they were clean and for the price we paid we weren't expecting much anyway. The bathroom was clean and modern... more

This hotel is not as scary as some of the reviews would suggest. I was in a double room (two beds) which wasn't huge but also didn't make me claustrophobic or want to cry as some reviewers suggested. The bathroom was updated and clean. If you want your room cleaned YOU SIMPLY MUST LEAVE THE KEY AT THE DESK when... more

Myself and 2 colleagues spent 2 very pleasant nights at Apollo Opera. The Ritz it is not but our budget did not extend quite that far anyway. The rooms were not large, but they were clean and the bathrooms were modern and functional. Breakfast was fine, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic - a 10... more

We were mant to be staying at the St George LaFayette but "due to a water problem" (not sure how genuine this was!) we were transferred to the apolo opera. Yes, its shabby, the lift is small (but it works so where is the problem?) but this is France, a different country to the UK with different standards, and a... more

I booked this hotel last minute so I didn't have much chance to research it, but i wish i had taken a few minutes to look as I would never have booked it. The only slightly positive is the location which is good for walking into the centre of paris (approx 25mins). However it is just around the corner from... more

Arriving at the hotel with a voucher in hand the management told me they were booked full and sent me to a "sister" hotel up the street. The "sister" hotel provided me with a room less than 8 feet square, with matresses on the floor and a filthy bathroom. The lights in the hall are on timers like they have... more
