I've stayed at the Balmoral for business many times over the past 10 years, staying as well at several nearby hotels at various price points. The Balmoral may not be the fanciest hotel, but it's always reliable and the staff are always highly professional. It's a good value and I prefer it to similarly priced competitors (and to a few... more

This hotel is a great base for visiting the sights of Paris, we walked to Trocadero Gardens where you can get a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Metro is easy to get around on once you have got your bearings. Staff very friendly and helful, rooms clean and comfortable and good bathrooms, our two had been recently refurbed, water... more

This is a very nice Parisian hotel. In the past, we have been guests in 3 star Parisian hotels where the accomodation were noisy; but the Balmoral is the best of the 3 star hotels we have experienced. Most important, it is in a quiet location as well as being convenient to the Metro and the Arc d'Triomphe. I wish... more

Booked this hotel last minute so was a bit concerned but it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and put up with our attempts at french! It is handy for most attractions, situated around the corner from the Arc d Tri and the fantastic shopping areas (get off the main areas and theres some amazing ones) Our room was at... more

Great launch pad to the champs elysee, arc du triomph and the metro. Breakfast is ok, i would recomend going out, but i never like to eat in the hotel as there are always loads of better and cheaper places near by. Rooms were cosy, however the view was typical of msot french inner city hotels - over looking a... more

Yes it is not perfect, but for having stayed at over a dozen hotels in Paris already, on business and leasure, this one is in the top 3. Small rooms ? I have seen smaller for the same price. Service ? by Parisian standards, this is excellent. In brief, I'd recommend this hotel and I'll stay there again. You also... more

The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and getting about. But apart from that its just basic. The hotel was covered in scaffolding when we arrived and it looked awful. The rooms were clean, but it said it had a kettle and tea and coffee faciliites but it didnt. We booked a room for 3 and they had just squeezed a camp... more

Ok, so the room was small...and someone had POOR decorating tastes! But it was clean. And comfortable. It had a TV, with several different channels, including an English news channel. Mostly in French, but it was in France, and we weren't there to stare at the TV anyway. The door for the shower was randomly glass- as in see-through. Now,... more

I stayed at the Balmoral Hotel for two nights 11-13th of November 2008 and paid 121 Euro/night for a single room (excl. breakfast). Let’s start with the good things: location, no noise and a helpful and courteous staff. But having said that there isn’t much left on the positive side… Getting to the hotel is very easy from CDG, hop... more
