After reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive to come here, but it was only for one night, and the price I got was extremely good. All in all, I cannot understand the complaints by previous travellers, as like most of the time, you get what you pay for. The hotel is right in the center of Paris, with... more

During our trip to Ireland and France, we booked a one-night stay at this hotel because we were coming in from Dublin and needed a night's rest before heading east for the country. This was nevertheless our first experience in Paris, and I thank God that we booked the Beagency down in the Rue Cler area for the rest of... more

We had booked our wedding anniversary trip to Paris months ago. We paid via Alpha Rooms to stay at the Le Relais du Marais. However after arriving at that hotel at 8 pm. We were told that they had suffered a flood but booked us into another hotel close by. We were not happy but I think it worked out... more

We booked this hotel together with Eurostar through Thomson, who made the booking on our behalf through Cresta Holidays. Some of our party were going to see the Rugby World Cup so even though we booked back in April the choice was very limited so this was about the only place that all 6 of us could stay for a... more

I am not sure who gave this three stars, but I assume they were previously homeless and it was their first day on the job. Or maybe in 1979 it was all modern and impressive, but I am sure it was never larger. The size, even for Europe is claustrophobic. The shower recess will not accomodate a full grown adult.... more

The rooms were dingy and overpriced. The staff was completely unhelpful. We had to cancel our first night at the hotel because our flight from London was cancelled. Even though we stayed an extra night, we were still charged for the night we unable to come. To make matters worse, one of the managers told us that they gave our... more

Everything seemed promising on arrival at this hotel. It was during a bit of a summer heat wave. The lobby was air conditioned and the woman at the counter was very pleasant to us at check-in. No problems. No language problem. We did our best to speak French and her English was great. We went up to our room to... more

Where do I begin with this one?! I booked the hotel via Venere using my laptop when I arrived in Paris, after a 16 hour drive from Venice; it was early (4am), however I've checked into loads of hotels at this time of day and not experienced problems. Upon arrival at the hotel door, it took the night porter nearly... more

Stayed at the Paix Republique for 3 nights in June, after walking straight past the place when we arrived - we checked in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They speak english but of course seemed to appreciate our efforts to speak french - which wasnt too bad (I hope!!). Our room was smaller than we'd expected but... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in May and the Hotel is nothing special but perfectly located. The Marais is very close, the subway right in front of the door. Get your breakfast elsewhere, there are a lot of nice and cheap bakeries all around. The staff is very friendly and helpful, parking at EUR 16,00 a night no problem.... more
