The Good : 1) Great location and right in the centre of Paris. 2) Price OK for Paris 3) Staff friendly and multi lingual 4) Quiet area 5) Beds made and towels changed regularly The Bad: 1) No hot water for 90% of the time. Was reported but no response 2) Small boxy room. Bathroom door opened up 50% only... more

We booked the Tonic via the Eurostar Website. I then went onto TripAdviser and read all the bad reivews and was dreading it. When we arrived at the hotel the reception staff were incredibly friendly and informative. We arrived in our room and I have to say I was disappointed. The window looked out onto the internal of the 4... more

Don't get me wrong, it's an adequate hotel. It was a good price for what you get and it is very conveniently located near the louvre. i was just spoilt that i stayed at bons enfant (i also reviewed that hotel) which is very close proximity to this place but more expensive. i regreted skimping and would have a better... more

I was so disappointed walking into my room as the lobby area looked pretty fresh and redone to a nice standard, they had left out the rooms in that process, and the room standard was very low. It was not at all old-charming-Parisien style, it was old and moldy and the bedcover did not seem washed in a long time.... more

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. My husband and I always stay at budget hotels so the room did not bother us except for the fact that we were in an adjoining building in a room that was claustrophobic because it was off a small hallway that was locked. This was for safety but it gave us a strange... more

According to maps the metro station is near the hotel. I got lost so it took me hours to get to the hotel. Hotel Tonic is on a rather unimpressive small street but very close to the Louvre. You can't beat being close to the greatest museum in the world. This hotel is a budget priced hotel so I wasn't... more

We spent 4 nights at the Tonic Hotel in November. We've stayed in several Paris hotels - this is one of the best! Of course, the room was small - but we don't want to pay for space that we're not going to use! (If you want a room to sit and relax in, then you need to pay Novotel... more

I spent 3 nights in the tonic hotel in october 2008 with my fiance. I had read mixed reviews about the hotel and was a little apprehensive, however, i would highly recommend it to anyone visiting paris. The location is fabulous, about 2 mins from les halles, 5-10min walk to louvre museum, 20 min walk to notre dame and the... more

Didn’t love the Hotel Tonic, but thankfully we spent our days exploring beautiful Paris and didn’t have to spend much time in the hotel. This hotel looks nothing like their website so don’t be fooled. The first room they gave us was so dirty looking. The blanket on the bed was filthy. The rooms are very small and we were... more

We have just returned from a week at the Tonic Hotel du Louvre in Paris. We had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and when something needed attention, they took care of it in a timely fashion. The room was small by American standards, but adequate for a city room. It is located near... more
