This hotel had an excellent location. It was only a few blocks from Notre Dame, and just a short walk to the metro or to numerous cafes. We liked the neighborhood very much, and enjoyed walking to the daily markets for breakfast before we settled on a bench behind Notre Dame to eat our goodies. All I can say is... more

The great location and traveler-friendliness of the Minerve Hotel for tourists includes one benefit that researchers will appreciate, in particular those who must spend time at the Bibliothèque Nationale François Mitterand, located upriver from the neighborhood of the hotel. In the past, I have taken the Metro to the library, which requires one or two changes. But I discovered during... more

On arrival we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member and his other colleagues throughout our stay were just as friendly. The decor is a bit old and worn but that was ok. The rooms are so small but clean. The bathroom was absolutley miniscule, especially the shower - don't drop the soap because you almost have to... more

I was concerned about this hotel after reading one or two negative reports about the staff, but in fact everything was fine. They had our booking and the reception staff were helpful in telephoning taxis and recommending restaurants etc. We had a Superior Twin room with balcony which was a bit small but average for Paris. You can hear noise... more

The Minerve Hotel was the perfect choice for our recent return trip to Paris! We were passing through the great city for three nights, on our way home, and were delighted with this little charmer. Though our room was not large, it was a great bargain. The hotel's proximity to some of Paris' s central core was perfect. We could... more

I have stayed at the Minerve for many years. I also take a graduate class to Paris and we stay there. No bar, no restaurant just friendly staff and quaint decor. Located near most everything in the Latin Quarter. All rooms are small but who stays in their room in Paris! While it has few of the commercial amenities, it... more

Just returned with my wife and another couple. The wirte ups on this hotel are right on. Great location, friendly staff. This was out third trip to Paris and I would stay here again. Nothing fancy but the room was clean. Again, how much time do you spend in the room any way. We walked most places but did go... more

Don't expect this to be like the Familia Hotel. Owned by the same family and right next door, this hotel has none of Familia's charm or friendliness. We've stayed at both. The Familia staff is warm and helpful-- Internet is free, they will call if you are about to sleep through breakfast, accommodate change in rooms, etc. Minerve is like... more

First off, this hotel is not overly expensive and the location is stupendous. Its about 2 blocks from the River on the Left Bank, a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. Its on the same block as the Sorbonne and has the Pantheon on the block behind it. , The hotel itself is a clean and decent hotel. I had... more
