hotel was really small, tiny stairs and even smaller rooms. we couldn't get a good temperature in our rooms, it was either really cold or really hot. i would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget, but i would NOT recommend the neighborhood. We were two girls in Paris and it was really scary, almost all the time.... more

Elderly married couple, Russia, 19-29 sept. 2009. It took place 21. 09.2009. On simple request not to cover a dusty bedspread the manager said, that if we do not like, we may move to another hotel, and almost arranged a fight. It was paid for the room in advance and fully. 5 days later sent a chocolate as a gift... more

My wife took me to Paris for my 30th birthday and she booked this hotel based on price and other trip advisor's reviews of it (we stayed there Oct 7-Oct 11). The hotel is a basic 2* hotel. There is a tiny lobby mainly used by staff who were VERY kind, polite and extremely helpful! Every question we had and... more

This event took place on September 24th 2009. The worst nightmare to any travelers is when you turned up at the hotel after a long haul flight, the man behind the counter told you that your booking is confirmed and validated but we do not have a room for you as we are fully booked at the moment. You then... more

Got this as part of a very cheap EURO STAR package Spent one night in Paris so just wanted a clean , basic hotel Got a very clean room.yes, the room is dated and 1950's but it was tidy. I didn't need any more than this. (I wouldn't really bother with going down for breakfast though..it was just a coissant... more

This hotel is quite basic - BUT - I think, it's a very nice hotel for people who travel on a budget. The location is very good, just in the heart of the red light district of Paris - but no worries, we all felt very safe, even after midnight and you are able to walk to the city center... more

My wife & I & our two boys stayed at this hotel in Oct. '08 and in view of the negative comments I wish to set the record straight as regards this hotel. Whilst I agree that ther hotel has an odour all of its own, so much so that the windows are opened each morning to clear it, we... more

I've just came back from a 3 night break in Paris, stayed in the hotel St. Georges Lafayette and I thought it was good enough. It was the first time when I went to Paris and the weather was lovely. The hotel is situated in the Red Light district and there are some sex shops on your way to the... more

Booked a 3 night break for myself through Expedia. I have been to Paris a few times some years ago and wanted a hotel that was in a good location to vist other attractions. I did not want a chain hotel with no character. I was very pleased with this place, you are only paying £50 per night includung breakfast... more

Hotel St. Georges Lafayette is in the ninth district on a very small street in Paris. Very close to the eighteenth district. If you walk up about a half a mile (prepare for a steep walk) you will reach Sacre Coeur. The location was very convenient, lots of cafe's, places to eat, metro was about two blocks away. I wouldn't... more
